Ultra really shot themselves in the foot with the magazine system. The stiffer foam darts could have easily allowed for double-stack magazines, so the Pharaoh could have had a 10 dart magazine that was sized suitably for a sniper rifle, and the Amp could have had a 15+ dart magazine that wasn't stupidly long. I don't imagine a double-feed mechanism would be all that hard to do to get them to feed reliably, but if not, even a single-feed double-stack magazine design like the Worker Dominator could have really given Ultra something that the other lines just don't have.

I like the ULTRA blasters. We have a collection of old, beat up blasters (zombie, Star Wars, N-Strike), none of which seem to shoot farther than 10 feet, if they fire at all. We got an ULTRA Select and an ULTRA Focus, and we are having a lot of fun shooting around the house. I am someone who isn't necessarily trying every new line of blasters, and wants something that shoots better than the old guns we have, and the Ultra blasters we have are doing this. That said, I DO wish it was more accurate. I would love adjustable sights, and the ability to shoot target practice in the house with Nerf - but that's true with all stock nerf blasters. Maybe I should make a video comparing my experience of shooting old guns vs. these new Ultra.
