Was there in 2019.the time flys, and covid has been a disaster for every thing and everybody. Hope to get over to the USA this year. Thanks for this and the memories it brought back. Tim England 👌.
I totally agree, I don't think you will ever see that again. It's a show I've always wanted to go to. So 26 01 19, was my 60th birthday so I treated myself as a must do. I'll never regret it. I also went to the salt the same year. But the weather put a dampener on that (literally). But still had a good time, at the nugget.
@@timferriss1779 Bonneville has been on my list of events to attend for many years! Lots of Utah-based early hot rods and some west coast hot rods usually show up, and the openness on the salt flats looks unreal!
@@twinrodders you must go it's surreal. The atmosphere, the people, make it worthwhile. We didn't get to see anything run in anger, becouse of the wet, glue like condition of the track. But it didn't matter. Just to walk around the pits and get so close to the fantastic machines was a treat in itself. The information that was readily available from the team members. Then the nugget shows of the evening, brilliant. Getting to have a photo took with some of the rolling bones gang. And the highlight was to have a photo with Valerie Thompson. Not only a very fast and brave lady but very nice as well.
Thanks for watching! There's so much to see at GNRS. I still missed about 10% of the indoor displays that showed up. I prefer events where I have the opportunity to see the cars driving, but the GNRS always brings in some top quality cars from all over.
Thank you that was wonderful , I’ve been wanting to attend this show for the last fifty years , not got there yet ! I’m over in England just outside London so it’s a bucket list thing I guess ! Maybe next year I hope ! Thanks again I really, really, enjoyed that , Best of luck to you , Graham
Meanwhile, on Planet Oregon, the Portland Roadster Show was cancelled for the third year in a row. Must be nice to get to go somewhere and see stuff...
After being forced to look at all the horrible, butt-ugly Toyotas out there cluttering up our streets and highways it's great to have eye candy like this to wash my eyes out with! Thank you!
The real model car contest

That was a good year for GNRS! The 90th anniversary of the Model A display was one of the best special displays that they've had in recent years

Too bad! From what I've seen the Portland Roadster Show is quite similar to the GNRS.

Too many VWs
That was just the special display for this year's GNRS, "A Gathering of Hot VWs." That room changes themes every year.
