    The moment you delete social media is because you reached a higher level of consiousness thats why others woudnt do the same.Its not their time and maybe it will never be their time.

    I agree that the comparing yourself is more subtle. I deleted my IG account in June 2020, reloaded in 2021 after 1 year and deleted it again because this thing is emotionally, physically and spiritually exhausting.

    Just deactivated all my social media. I had to get that fake mess out of my life. It’s going to be rough. I tried before and failed. I’m going to go hard this time.

    I deleted my Facebook 2 weeks ago and I’ve been leaning off of Instagram. I wanted to document my journey in nursing school on social media but the pressure and jealously of others I couldn’t take anymore. Plus the whole comparison thing is real!! And the feeling of having to post. Also I realized how so many people fake so much of their lives on social media. It’s honestly too much. I want to feel peace and calmness. Nursing school is already a lot as it is!

      Sis Instagram was low-key killing me. I was wasting so much time on there. I had to tell myself it's enough. 2weeks ago, I deleted my Instagram. I feel great, no need to go back there.

      @@ReenelTit has been two weeks for me now, without Instagram. But when my friends call me again like- comeback it's so much fun out there, why aren't you posting any stuff? Are you alive or not- like that and all, is actually a burden to me, which I can't tell them. How did you handle it?

    I took a month off Instagram and my attitude about it has changed. I didn’t delete it because I use it for my photography photos as a hobby. But I’m not posting stories and keeping the masses up to date about my personal life. I actually think Instagram can get pretty boring after awhile. The same memes and self care quotes posted over and over again. I personally like to follow other photography people and get inspired by their content. I like taking breaks off of it and don’t have the urge to check likes and comments

    Thank you for sharing your experience being on social media as well as off of it. I deleted my instagram a couple of years ago because it truly was becoming so overwhelming and exhausting for me. I made a new insta in august and deleted it fully again in October and I'll almost make another year without it without any plan on going back on ever. You have made some great points and I believe it comes down to living fully immersed in the present without feeling the need to tell all of the "followers" about it. Your perspective is refreshing and reiterates why I won't get back onto instagram. :)

    I understand what you mean, but do know that your heart is pure and your mind is in the right place. Social media can sometimes wreck your mental health. So do what you think is best for your soul, because you are winning and you're not missing a thing. I subscribed, and would love to see more from you.

      I remember the day I deleted Facebook, 14 years ago. I cried in front of the computer and told myself I would miss it so much and I would feel left out but that I would be okay. I was for a few years until Instagram showed up in my life… I haven’t been able to break up with it, because photography hobby but I do go 4-5 months of breaks every year.

    • @madkittyjoey70
      @madkittyjoey70 Год назад

      @@LA-lq1zf At first I felt sad leaving and was worried about being left out from everything. But eventually it sunk in that all it was going to be was a bunch of gossip, political rants, and irrelevant photos. Plus a lot of the people I went to school with that were on my list of friends didn't talk to me all that much. After I clicked on the delete button, I felt happy being at one with my own way of thinking.

    this is so inspiring! the way you break down exactly how social media negatively impacted you totally resonated with me. I’ve been addicted to social media and the instant gratification/dopamine hits for around 7 years now! I’ve taken many breaks but I’m afraid to pull the trigger and deactivate/delete my accounts. right now I’m on a “break”, only listening to podcasts and watching youtube videos here and there, and it’s very liberating, but I always fall back into the same vicious cycle. I want to reach the level you’re at where you fill all your time up with hobbies, interests, self care, etc. do you think I should get rid of my accounts for good?

    I've been trying to get off social media little by little, I deleted my facebok over 3 years ago and I haven't had any problems since it became old people fighting in the comments and my parents posting what they ate today, so I don't care a lot, what if it is difficult for me to go out now is instagram that more than the fact of comparing and such is the fact of missing things, it is that anxiety that causes me to let go of an opportunity such as a concert or a fair that there is and depending on my friends who have social networks to know about those events, now I only use twitter which, well let's say it's not the best social network , but I still want to leave it I feel like it makes me very sick, but if you have any advice for that or how you have taken you would help me a lot, thank you very much for your video :D.

    I thank you very much for this video and I listened to you a lot and your words are true with regard to social communication, and because it has many harms, including mental health, or comparing ourselves with other people on Instagram or, for example, we see someone's life better than ours, And that's bad, I'm saying there's no fun in this
