I can give you pointers to increase your chances of getting hired to do photos for local businesses! I run a one person media company they focuses on helping local businesses thrive. The approach the RUclipsr scammer suggested and what you tried doesn't work. From my own personal experiences, this is how you get hired: 1. Have a portfolio website and decently professional gear. No one is going to hire you if you walk in with your phone. You don'teven need the most expensive camera gear, rather, you need to have decent gear and expertise with lighting. Lighting is what makes things look professiona. The portfolio website is so people can watch and see examples of the work so they know what they're going to get is going to look good. 2. Walking into businesses cold and trying to solicit work isn't going to work well because often times it's going to be the employee at the business rather than the business owner who would need the services and they've probably been told whenever somebody comes in trying to sell stuff or to solicit to just tell them no. What you need to do instead is instead of focusing on a selling point of trying to take photos for the Google page, you need to find local businesses who are posting a lot of social media content. They need help making the content and posting it every single day, especially video work that looks good. That'll entice people to come to the business. They're actively posting on social media so that tells you that they'll actively need help. DM the local businesses, and the reason why this works is because the person who has the keys to the social media account is usually the owner, tell them you want to come in and do one free video and send them a link to your portfolio. For every 20 to 40 businesses you reach out to, you'll probably get three to five responses and maybe one customer. The free offer is going to entice them to hire you because there's very little risk for them and then you get to meet them and start a relationshipwith them, create some great work and then give it to them for free and if it drives results then they're definitely going to call you back. Anybody nowadays can do photos with their phones, but not anybody can do video editing and good video work with good lighting, and that's the stuff that'll impress people and your clients and their customers too. Source: I've been doing this for years. Value and relationships is number one, it's not necessarily about the quality. If you really want to make the walk into the business thing work, you got to dress up nicer like wearing a button-up t-shirt and nice shoes, and walk in with your mirrorless camera ready to go. I'm not commenting at all about your looks or clothes style, which I think is awesome, but perception is everything. When they see that you're looking tidy and wearing nicer clothes and have the pro camera in your hand, they'll take the offer more seriously. Samw with your pitch. It yas to be totally focused on the value you're going to give them, so that's why doing five photos for free works great and then they get to see your quality. By the way, I discovered your channel a couple weeks ago and have watched all of your videos! Really love what you're doing, keep doing it and show the world that these guys sitting and doing talking head videos are just making money from selling information rather than actually doing what they're taking about. 😁
Hi man, thanks for the pointers and feedback, means a lot that you took your time to drop free knowledge, I’ve pinned your comment for anyone that needs it to find it 👊🏿
I can't see how that would work, because the businesses that are doing social media and posting regularly already have someone taking good pictures and doing reels for them. Not saying this is bad advice, but all the places I've seen with good pictures on their feeds also have good quality reels/stories/videos, either from someone in-house or external. The businesses that don't have social media presence, generally don't give a sh*t. The one's that care, already have it covered. Unless you're a top videographer, not many chances and being a top videographer is quite hard IMO.
@@danpm1990 there's lots of generalizations we're making here, but the idea is you find local places that are posting regularly but the quality isn't great. You can do better. Even if they do have good stuff, you'd be surprised how much help they need to keep it consistent. I know a couple local restaurants that hire two local guys that I'm friends with. Either way, try, and the businesses will let you know if they're interested! This week I booked two video shoots with local restaurants using this method. 😃
The lawn maintenance side hustle definitely works better in the U.S. where there are neighborhoods with big lawns. People are generally more willing to pay a neighborhood teen to take care of their lawn consistently rather than a landscaping company.
Just so you know, the camera clips only have audio on the right side. Great video but I know how much effort you put into this video so might be worth reuploading with fixed audio so the video can have the growth it deserves!
Bro I just watched your kwebbelkop video a few hours ago, huge fan man & yeah the audio is all over the place on this one, I’m working on it & thanks for watching 👊🏿

Your sales pitch needs to get better. Never start with “sorry to bother you” that’s a negative and weak. You need to be more confident, slower & say something like this “I was in the area and I help businesses like you get more sales by taking professional pictures for google, tripadvisor and other digital platforms to increase customer flow”
It feels to me like most of these side hustle gurus never actually try out the stuff they make videos on and recommend, it feels borderline scammy. I'm sure the money they make from the many views those videos get lines their pockets. I commend you for actually putting in the work to do these
I took a screenshot of your channel when I first started watching, I think you had 15k or something. Did it because I'm 100% sure you're going to blow up. You've got something special here, with your ability to actually TRY all these different things that others (like me), just wouldn't be willing to put themselves out there and do. Keep it up man, we're watching.
In a time filled with scammers and course sellers, you're a godsend! This video is a breath of fresh air, providing honest insights into side hustles promoted by big RUclipsrs. It's great to see someone actually trying these out and showing us what's real and what's a waste of time. I'm in Qatar, and this was helpful AF. Keep up the amazing work; you're helping people all across the globe!
People are saying your sales pitch could use work, but honestly? Its fine. The reality is that these "just go out and hustle, wash windows and paint fences" advice is a load of shit from the 70s. The best side hustles will be uber/delivery stuff or better yet, a second part time job. Either way keep up the work man! It's really interesting watching someone actually try these things and NOT be sponsored by the people/company who invented it
Whist i think the sales pitch could do with a bit of work, I don’t think this was an easy service to sell, small businesses that have 80% of their revenue from footfall will not consider this as a priority
I think this is the one video that I've been searching for, I have watched many other videos but they always hide something or give some vague info. This was the one that genuinely helped me! Honestly always impressed with your 'give it a go' attitude mate! You never give up at the first hurdle and give everything a truly fair go. Keep up this content mate, love it!
As some others have already mentioned, a big part of why the Photography side hustle didn't work for you is your sales ability. I have worked as a fundraiser, knocking on peoples doors, basically selling them nothing but a good feeling, since they are the ones giving me money, and there are many things I have learned from this that can be applied here. Hopefully some of this will help you. 1. The importance of your energy and conviction that you have when presenting your service. When you were walking in those businesses I could hear in your voice that you were not convinced that you could really help out the business and so could the business owners. You were also not giving them the energy that they even wanted to have a conversation with you. The conviction naturally grows when you have done the job a few times and know that you can do a good job. The energy is something that you have to actively put in. Walk in there with a big smile and chat them up first before pitching them. 2. Giving the people a real reason why they even need the pictures. Businesses will only give you money for a service like that if it means that they will potentially earn more money through it. As you mentioned, a lot of the people you met where older and didn't know much about google. So why didn't you tell them about it and how it can help their business? There is the so called AIDAS sales theory and it stands for: Attention, Interest, Desire, Action and Satisfaction. So for the Attention phase you basically introduce yourself, letting them know who you are and what you are doing (a photographer, going around taking pictures for businesses). This part you did, even though you definitely should have said something other than "sorry to bother you" (as others have mentioned). Now what you completely skipped were the Interest and Desire phase. You went right to the Action phase of asking them if they are interested in your service (that you barely presented). The interest phase could have been you telling them the problems of not having good Google pictures (less customers, less trust etc. basically less money). This will get them interested and thinking if they are running their business to their full potential. The desire phase is you telling them how you can solve that problem (taking good pictures that will lead to more customers/trust/money). Here you can even sprinkle in some so called "forced yesses" by asking rhetorical questions. You ask them "You know how important it is to have good Google pictures right?" and of course they are gonna say yes. The more times they have said yes the more likely it is that they are gonna say yes to your service offer. Now when it comes to the Action phase this is the most important part and the one that a lot of people without sales experience get wrong. You should not really be asking if they are interested, since why would they not be interested in making more money? You need to have so much conviction in your pitch that you can basically be like "Right, you want me to take those pictures now or later?" as if the person has already agreed to get your service. Some people are still gonna say that they are not interested of course but I guarantee there are gonna be many that will just agree to give you the £50 since it's really nothing if it means they get more customers in the long run. Also a side note here is that a lower asking price does not actually mean more people will want to get your service. Humans are programmed in a way where we think that something more expensive is also worth more. So if you are telling a business owner they are gonna make an extra £1000 in revenue next month because they have better pictures they might trust you more if you charge £200 than £50. The numbers are obviously pulled out of my ass but you get the point. The £50 might give them the "too good to be true" feeling whereas the £200 just makes sense since they are gonna 5x that in the first month. The Satisfaction phase is also important since it might lead to you getting more jobs. If the person is happy with the job you did they might recommend you to their business owner friends. So basically for this side hustle to really work you also need to be an actually decent photographer. Another part of the satisfaction phase is simply connecting with them on a personal level. 3. Get personal with the shop owners. One big realization that I had as a fundraiser is that most people are not donating money because they want to save children. They are donating the money because they liked me or the conversation they had with me and made an emotional decision in that moment. When you go in those shops start some small talk first before selling them your service. This will automatically lead to more trust, at least if the small talk is somewhat authentic. For example if you are in a shop that's empty maybe chat them up with something like "Slow day, eh?". This is a double win because now you are showing interest in them and their business and you might even get valuable information about how well the shop is running as a whole (the worse, the better your chances are are selling your service). The biggest lifehack for getting peoples trust, which I am sure you have heard before, is asking for their names. So you chat them up and then you say something like "Oh btw, my name is 3.7Million, what's your name?" and shake their hand. Then you repeat their name back to them (as if you are friends) and start your pitch with something like "Right Jack, I am a photographer that takes pictures for businesses etc." Last note for this topic is to remember that every smile you get out of them gets you closer to getting the deal, so try to be funny, flirty etc. I know a lot of these things seems paradoxical before you have experienced them firsthand. That is why selling is something most people are not good at naturally but hopefully you read this and learned something for the next time you want to sell something. Cheers!
Love these videos mate! I love that you actually go out & put them to the test. Tbh I don't think any of the finance RUclipsrs have ever done the "side hustles" that they promote. They just make the videos talking about it & inflate the numbers to get the views & they make money due to the high CPM. I also love the fact you helped that nice guys at the end for free
I really enjoyed watching you try the side hustles and testing these "financial gurus" theories. I'm a financial coach+teacher and I have to do this same kind of personal research for my clients & students sometimes to tell them what is real, what works and what doesn't based on their own skills. Side hustles aren't get rich quick gigs. It all boils down to that classic phrase: "If it was that easy, everyone would be doing it." Side hustles are still jobs that need skill. Some people forget that. Thank you for doing this practical and realistic video. 😊
Being a RUclipsr is pretty much like the best job ever. It's like running business, and you just need to offer your viewers what they need or want. Starting channel can be tough, but there are tools like Fame-ster which could massively help you to kick start your social media as fast as possible.
You know what ? This is actually the most interesting video type I saw on RUclips by far. I mean in every categories, this is the best. It is so darn practical and motivational ! Please keep up doing this.
Why dont you make a video trying some famous online side hustles. Like droppshipping or print on demand? It would be interesting to watch and see how it goes.
I loved that old geezer showing you how to use his equipment, he's not well enough to do it himself but he was basically doing the job for a bit there, such an old head way of doing things - my granddad would be exactly the same!
This inspires me in a weird way and you lowkey give some good advice. That pamphlet drop was so simple but it can be utilized in many other business types and would be so effective.
It's better to sell them benefit not a feature. They don't care about pictures but if you tell them if they want 68% ( find a statistics) more customers, give them benefit, they want either money or time.
You definitely needed better sales pitches and other forms of marketing to make these work but that doesn't really matter because you tested the side hustles based on the exact instructions given in the guru videos. If people were following their advice the same way you did, it's likely they would get similar results. There's really nothing that can make the app work because it's basically designed to waste your time, as the company gets the data regardless of if they approve the job and pay you or not, plus they pay was low for the time the jobs took. I think it is awesome that you actually tried and went the extra mile with the flyers and explained that there is a learning curve with scheduling time for manual labor jobs that has to be learned and considered for that particular business. You've got a new subscriber😁
Thanks for watching & thanks for sub, yeah the app was a waste of time, $5 /hr is below minimum wage, with a lot of these side hustles if I wasn’t following the gurus instructions I’d have done it differently
Loved this video, great format going out and trying things. I have had something similar in the back of my mind for about 4 years and never had the balls to do it ha! Fair play. Good luck with the channel
Trading without a professional guide... Hmm, I laugh at you because you will stay where you are or even suffer huge losses that will prevent you from trading, this was one of the biggest problems for new traders.
I'm glad this channel exists, to poke holes in "side hustle" scams. The term side hustle it just used the sugar coat needing a 2nd job. The only true side hustles are hobbies that you might make a few coins with.
The amount of work you put into these videos is insane, and you get 1/10 of views compared to the scammer RUclipsrs and you actually provide value. Hope your channel keeps growing
At 16:30, I'm glad you finally got a lead. But some of the other commenters below are right when they gave some constructive criticism. I also used to have been in sales. My very first job (where I collected an actual paycheck and paid taxes) was in sales at 16 yrs old. I would do what this guy was doing, going door to door cold knocking, selling subscriptions to the Anchorage Times newspaper. Each and every one of us sales people had a dress code-we had to wear a button shirt and tie. However, when it's -30F outside and you are out in it hours at a time at night, people really didn't see my nice clothes because I was bundled up in a big parka. That was a job I did for $4 an hour plus a tiny commission, at 16! And if I didn't make enough sales, I would get chastised by my boss and he would say to get out there and sell more. But he gave me other tips such as, besides being dressed nice, to not talk too much, and just have confidence overall. You need to have a demeanor about yourself that you are liked, and that they need my product. Give them a reason to buy your product, give them a reason(s) why they need your product. Just don't give up too easily. At 16 I learned some of the tips they teach in one of the best sales movies ever made with Ben Affleck, Boiler Room. The mottos in that movie were ABC (Always Be Closing) and 'telling is not selling'. And one of the commenters below also had it right-don't walk into a business cold. Usually the owner or manager is not there, or if the manager is there, he will most likely turn you away. Esp an employee. They don't own the business, so they don't value it like the owner. Find a way to contact the owner directly. Good luck!
I like what you are doing and in your defence you are testing hustles that youtubers are advertising as "anyone can do them" , but as someone who's worked in door-to-door sales, telesales and customer services with upselling I can say you'd have more succes if you worked on your pitch. Too many uses of negative words, passive attitude as though you are bothering them, you should be making them feel lucky you are there to help them. Also inform your customer more about the benifits of google pics backed up with some data. Compliment their hardwork, (you have obviously worked hard to bring the business to where it is but as you know the internet is a huge driver of sales these days) , more acertive language: not might drive sales it will drive sale and at worst will make your location look more appealing etc. Almost any hustle that involves cold selling will benefit from a more polished script/pitch. Keep up the good edits 🤙
You seem real. I have to admit you don’t seem as professional as those other RUclipsrs but your video seems so realistic. I really liked your video, because it just shows how hard it really is.

Cheers!
Thank you this comment was very helpful even for me as a nervy considering copy/goshtwriting selling to clients is my biggest fear and weakness.
Appreciate the support & thanks for watching man 🖤👊🏿
Old guy gets you in to mow the lawn but proceeds to chase you up and down the garden on the ride on! Definitely just enjoyed your company 😢
Yeah man he was a nice guy aswell, wants me to keep go back every 2 weeks & help out for £20
@@3.7Millionhe’s a sweet man and you’re a good person for supporting him
Yeah he just wants a friend
Yesss bro, been waiting for the next one
Appreciate the support
Man I love it when I find a new guy on RUclips. All the videos are new to me and I really enjoy them while working.
Welcome to the family bro 👊🏿
Man your channel is total gem. Thank you for doing this!!
this is the channel i search for when i want to try a new side hustles but aint sure if it will work or not, keep the work brother
Appreciate the support 🙏🏿
I really enjoyed watching you try the side hustles and testing these "financial gurus" theories. I'm a financial coach+teacher and I have to do this same kind of personal research for my clients & students sometimes to tell them what is real, what works and what doesn't based on their own skills. Side hustles aren't get rich quick gigs. It all boils down to that classic phrase: "If it was that easy, everyone would be doing it." Side hustles are still jobs that need skill. Some people forget that. Thank you for doing this practical and realistic video. 😊
Basically don't listen to people who talk about stuff. Listen the people that are doing it themselves 🎉
📝📝📝
I just found your channel, and it's so underrated I love the content keep it up, I hope you'll get 100k so soon
Being a RUclipsr is pretty much like the best job ever. It's like running business, and you just need to offer your viewers what they need or want. Starting channel can be tough, but there are tools like Fame-ster which could massively help you to kick start your social media as fast as possible.
That's total BS.
Lol yeah, sports is best job for me@@emilyau8023
@@emilyau8023what is fame-ster?
@@emilyau8023he’s a BOT 🤖 LOL
You know what ? This is actually the most interesting video type I saw on RUclips by far. I mean in every categories, this is the best. It is so darn practical and motivational ! Please keep up doing this.
Expose the next side hustle like affiliate marketing bro. Lets go
Haha I got you bro
That's just MLMs
Even after all that rejection you still came out on top and even made an old mans day!
Yeah man, old man was genuinely a nice guy too
RUclips recommended, i clicked, mans bought the lawnmower, i subscribed.
Appreciate the sub bro 🖤👊🏿
Your concept of testing different hustles is awesome. Thank you for sharing.
Making real money takes ressources most don't have, patience most don't need and knowledge no one wants to give away.
Good Job Bruv!!!
You Win Some, You Lose Some.
You Gained a Lot from the Experiences.
Don't Stop the Motivation.
Keep it Vlogging...
Kadeers!!!
Why dont you make a video trying some famous online side hustles. Like droppshipping or print on demand? It would be interesting to watch and see how it goes.
They are very expensive to do
@@lakeblake3651 you can say drop shipping is kinda expensive. But print on demand isn't.
Great content dude, u gon' go big if you keep it up!
Thanks man 👊🏿
great video especially the last part
Thanks for watching man 👊🏿
I love your waay of testing this shit out, gives a better perspective! keep hustling!
13:00 'my lad's doing it' sure he is pal
Haha init
His lad ain't doing nothing 😂😂
His lad added 1 more picture
This has become one of my favorite channels, great job dude!
Thanks for always watching man 🖤👊🏿
Damn the hustles went lower and lower
Nice seeing you genuinely tru out these ideas that the youtubers prob havent tried themselves. Good job on the video.
Bro you are so so underrated man you deserve more for what you are doing
It’s good that you expose those gurus with their false message with side hustles about making easy money. Keep doing this content, it’s very original
The old guy just wanted some company. Good job
He was genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve ever met
we need more content like this. great work
It's better to sell them benefit not a feature. They don't care about pictures but if you tell them if they want 68% ( find a statistics) more customers, give them benefit, they want either money or time.
Yeah true if you look at it like this
Did they had 68 increase tho? Most dont quantify it anyhow. Nor they will trust you.
Best content creator out there. God bless you man
you need to work on your sounds . content is good but audio needs improvements
this only in commencement subsequently became better
Appreciate the comment & going to buy a better mic
Sadly i can only like once, great Video!
Really transparent and honest.
Really nice you did it for free!
Thanks for watching
Thanks for watching & commenting man 🙏🏿
I have a financial advantage, thank Jesus, a weekly income of $32,000, regardless of the economic situation.
Thanks to Mrs. Amanda Camila 😊
She's a licensed broker here in the states
How
..? Am a newbie in crypto investment, please can you guide me through on how you made profit?
I keep hearing great things about Mrs Amanda Camila ! She must really stand out for people to speak so highly of her.
Trading without a professional guide... Hmm, I laugh at you because you will stay where you are or even suffer huge losses that will prevent you from trading, this was one of the biggest problems for new traders.
my maan, u deserve to succeed. good one. gained a new sub
Thanks for the sub man 👊🏿
Thank you algorithm. I’m really happy I stumbled across you and your channel. Really enjoyable content ✅
Thanks man, this means a lot
I'm glad this channel exists, to poke holes in "side hustle" scams. The term side hustle it just used the sugar coat needing a 2nd job. The only true side hustles are hobbies that you might make a few coins with.
This is a big series in the making
This is journalism i can get behind
Bro,this is why you’re legend telling the truth and putting us on new things absolutely love the video keep them coming bro ❤ 😎
Appreciate the comment man, thanks for watching 🖤
The amount of work you put into these videos is insane, and you get 1/10 of views compared to the scammer RUclipsrs and you actually provide value.
Hope your channel keeps growing
Thanks a lot for making this video and exposing these so-called side hustles!
I never skip Ads on your Videos, your a life saver.

Thanks man
great video , i love how you followed up on these 'great tips'
Bro is a professional BS exposer let’s go 🔥
You seem real. I have to admit you don’t seem as professional as those other RUclipsrs but your video seems so realistic. I really liked your video, because it just shows how hard it really is.
Keep it up bro as usual I am here for the things you are trying out. You are helping all of us out here with ur effort and time ❤💪

That was a great video and I would love to see more like this
2 orders from 250 leaflets is about average. We have had 10,000 leaflets a week going out for home improvement services and even then it’s taken up to 6 months to gain enough orders to justify all of the costs involved.
Thanks for sharing your stats man
What a refreshing upload!!!
