After seeing how much you all enjoyed the Ken Climo interview, we did an exclusive interview with Kristin Tattar. Moving forward I like these interviews to be stand alone from our normal show and we look to bring on other big names in disc golf. Thanks for the continued support and hope you enjoy our chat with Kristin Tattar.
Now that I'm done watching I must say that was up there with the climo interview! Love seeing new perspectives not only on the course. I already was a fan of Kristen for her game but now even more so to see how she approaches life in general!!
So enjoyable to listen to this interview. I am a bigger Tattar fan now than before this interview. So nice to hear how she owns her own results in golf and life. We would all do well to take on this philosophy.
Kristin felt so comfortable talking to you guys, yall foster such a candid environment. HUGE thanks to Brodie for not being afraid of "eggshell" topics too- KT's thoughts on last year's champions cup and the natalie ryan lawsuits in particular. I learned a lot about her as a person, and that's what these discussions should be for.
I have to give props to Brodie. I didn't see it coming, but he is an excellent interviewer. He does his homework, he doesn't cut people off, and he asks good questions. Him and Uli do make a good team on this stuff..
I agree he interviews pretty well and asks good questions, but he doesn't cut them off? He does it a lot actually! To everyone he talks to. He needs work on this.
@@sickeffect I guess you don't won't watch the whole thing haha. He definitely likes to interrupt and sometimes tries to finish their answer. Go back and watch.
WOW - that was such an excellent interview and possibly your best show yet. I already had a huge amount of respect for KT, but even more so after listening to this. Her thoughtful but candid responses show what a grounded, mature player she is. And while she didn't have to go there, I was glad to hear her perspective on the NR drama - a fresh breath of sanity, imo. Thanks again for making this one happen, guys.
@@beenschmokin Yeah right, because you can just buy rating and skills to throw discs far and accurately xD Just buy the DLC with loads of money! WTH are you talking about, really?
This was a great interview! I was already a Kristin Tattar fan, This interview just showed so much of her personality (her humility, her humanity, etc.). I'm an even bigger fan now.
Kristin is the perfect blend of being a fierce competitor while at the same time being genuinely humble and just a very nice person. I have become a huge fan of her, and FPO in general.
I wasn’t sure I could possibly like Kristin more than I did. Welp, I was wrong. She is so level headed and has common sense which is frankly hard to find these days. She is by far my favorite FPO player of all time. Awesome interview for sure
Wow, what an interview! This was perfect and a real win for both Kristin and the Channel! Very professional and not afraid to get into the dangerous places. Well done!
She's one of the best for a reason. Being this grounded and this down to earth is a big reason why. Awesome job with the interview!! Glad y'all busted out the N. Ryan question. It's definitely getting out of hand at this point. Play with the Men or quit playing professionally. Simple as that. FPO is for Women.
Impressive. Great work Brodie and Paul. I’m not surprised about it but I’m extremely impressed with how grounded and enlightened Kristin is. It is refreshing
It's humbling to see such a great atlete be so down to earth. There are numerous arguments to love Kristin: she's incredibly talented for discgolf, she's smart, wise and humble. She has a positive mind despite having been through tough times, has a wonderful daughter and husband and seems very grateful for her life. I wish her all the best and hope to enjoy her presence on the tour for a long time to come. Also, the fact that the wolf is her favorite animal is icing on the cake for me 😅.
Kristin is the gold standard! Point blank period! I love humbleness and the self centered out look on her craft! Your take on the elephant in the room was pristine. And I wish more had the guts to say how they really feel. Fantastic interview and good luck on the rest of yalls seasons!
Kristin sure is a breath of fresh air in this wacky world we live in nowadays. This is the type of lady young women should want to be like, and the type of lady young men should want to be with. Classy, down to earth, and fundamentally sound. None of the screeching, purple-haired, pierced face nonsense. Great interview!
SHE was not afraid to say that she signed the petition in the case against N Ryan, but didn't make a big deal about how she felt. I thought she made a super analogy when she said that if the pdga didn't have and FPO and MPO, she would not be in the position she is today. Great point!
Baddest female in discgolf , that is for sure! Highest skill level, most well rounded female player and best looking on tour! Respect for being a successful single mom always on the grind! Great interview 👍.
I loved this interview with Kristin, as she IS professional, humble, amazing, strong, dedicated, respectful and respected, and so much more. She’s a breath of fresh air… I’m sure I speak for the masses, in that we love you Kristin and all that you do. Good luck on the second half of your season and upcoming years. As you have such a bright future ahead of you. :)
I love her so much! 🥺 What a great interview and lots of well thought out answers. I’ve been really wanting a longer interview with Kristin for a long time to see a bit more of her personality and this podcast did a good job! 🫶
Hadn’t heard much from Kristin before watching this. Super impressed. She is clearly incredibly smart and this makes me understand even more why she is winning so much. Even bigger fan than before.
Wow! Great interview! Thank you so much for doing this. Kristin blows my mind regularly on the tour, and to see how wise and humble she is inspiring to me. Perfect role model for the kids and the rest of us for sure. Your interviews have all been so much fun! Great job you two!
Glad that she called out the organization for bullying and threatening the pro-female women into silence. This merits further looking into and heads should roll.
Her position on the mens and women's divisions is based. She is also very gracious about many situations where I wouldn't be, like the situation with her daughter!
Wow! I was a fan of her before, but after this interview, I respect her soooo much more! It's great seeing her speak out with very solid takes. Need to get me a Tattar disc!
This is the best podcast in disc golf. Grip locked had that title for a while, but the lack of guests really hurts the show. This is how it should be! Pro players discussing weekly topics and interviews with the people who are currently having success. Absolutely love this show. It’s become a must listen every week. Love the longer format also. We enjoy hearing people go in depth and I love that this show isn’t on a shot clock.
Wow - great content. Love not shying away from spicy questions as well and giving her ample opportunity if she didn't feel comfortable is answering. Great interview of a great player. More of this.
There are levels to mental toughness. You can tell that Kristin is on another level with mental toughness. It's really nice to hear that she doesnt blame the situation with her daughter on anyone else, even though the pro tour really screwed that whole situation up
Kristin is incredibly based, but also incredibly humble and gracious. She has to be my favorite disc golfer to watch and listen to, and it's not even close. Great interview Brodie and Uli, thanks for this series!!
WOW !!! What an incredible lady! With her self awareness, work ethic, common sense, honesty and humbled approach, she would be successful at whatever she chose to do! Disc golf is lucky to have her.
Kristin best player on tour. Already player of the year in my book yet some humble and polite. Brodie and Uli are awesome in these podcast interviews. We get to know the players on a different level. Great job guys. Please keep these coming.
You 2 keep getting legends in the game. What a fantastic interview. You keep bringing the content and we will try to support any way possible. Thanks again gentlemen. Also, all orange discs right here. I'm that guy.
Great interview, Kristin has always impressed me with her attitude and humility, and her stock continues to go higher in my book. I was curious if you guys would ask about the Natalie Ryan thing and I really appreciated her candor. She treats the subject with respect, but also lays out a very sensible response. I also appreciate that she acknowledges just how big of a gap there is in ability from FPO to MPO.
Amazing interview. So much insight. Love two points much: 1. We are all "people," so why be so nervous when the "cameras" are on us. 2. For sure us average players can look at FPO play and learn much for our own game. She is a rare special person, Brodie great questions to allow her to show us that!
I really liked and respected Kristin before, but now I have a deeper respect for her. She has such a grasp and perapective on the important things in life. Everybody would be a better person if they emulated her and what a great role model for younger people.
Her thoughtfulness and eloquence are just as impressive as her golf. Not sure we have any other golfers on tour who could pull this off in a foreign language
Those mental game things Kristin was talking about were truly deep and interesting. I wonder, does she do some kind of mindfulness training? Anyway, thank you Brodie and Paul for all the good work, we really appreciate it! A holler from a fan from Finland ❤
Such a wonderful interview with such great folks. Kristin, to my perspective, has shown herself as a figure of peace amongst humanity. One of the outstanding features of her character being how she carries herself in wisdom, and balance. Many blessings to you Kristin in your journey!
Great interview. Kristin seems to be very humble. She chose her words wisely, speaking with eloquence and class. She has respect for her counterparts and supportive of the entire disc golf community. A fantastic disc golf player, and wonderful human - on and off the course.
Great Interview! So good to hear Kristin's thought off the course. As an avid watcher of European disc golf, I have been a fan of both Kristin and Silver for years before they came to the US. Great to hear about the recognition she is getting from Estonia's Olympic committee. And finally, the black bread "Must Leib" can probably be best described to Americans as a denser pumpernickel that leans more into the rye flavor, but recipes do vary. Enjoy!
Must Leib - and just so people know the word 'bread = leib' in Estonian only refers (usually) to the black (must) version. Everything else (white bread) has another word for it = 'sai'. So in Estonia if it's not black, it's not "real" bread but sai. There are (at least) two countries in the world who feel so strongly about bread and the other one is Finland, but even there the word 'leipä' refers also to white bread ;)
Congrats on this beautiful podcast! Great vibe between you three, great questions from Brodie, and obviously Kristen is such a pristine spirit. I wish she would be a regular at my course and we'd be casual friends. She has the power of always brightening up your day and making everyone around her feel just a bit more relaxed and happy.
