Blowy today! 💨 This looks bloody fantastic 👀 The quilted leather options are lovely too and look even more Bentley than the tail pipes! BMW always nail it with the wide range of engine options though, so. If these had mega PCP deals, I could see plenty of people going for them.
I remember a time when the crome appendages were on the posh trim levels and the lowest possible trim level had mate black plastic. Strange world we live in :D
Thanks for the honesty, although I’d just about donate my left nut if car manufacturers would offer shooting brakes or even estates here in the US. I know we gave the “station wagon” a lot of crap in the 70s-80s, but dammit I have Irish Wolfhounds and I need more room… you crumped Camel carcass (a crusty Cortina’s crew carelessly casting) currently crawling: casually-countered careening- across a carriageway;
The only thing I don't think you mentioned, which might push you towards it, would be the level of tech. Massive assumption here but if it's anything like my Sorento it'll be well furnished with safety systems etc?? But the packaging really lets it down so I'd avoid this. Great review though
All the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order in terms of styling. It takes a bit of Subaru, a bit of Volvo and goodness knows what else, but it just doesn't really blend together
Lack of rear seat space is a bit of a boo boo, I had a v70 a few years back now and loved the engine etc comfort, but only kids could fit behind me so it had to go. Don’t understand how it gets to production with such an obvious flaw. Anyway nice review you discarded ciggy packet you.
There’s a something a tad Subaru Forester about the profile. But then again, I’ve had a lot of chocolate this evening which, mixed with the Staropramen I’ve also consumed, means I am as high as a kite… Hearing still works though. It’s all a bit Massey Ferguson isn’t it…
Estates are just so good-looking. The 508 SW is better looking than this one though. And this isn't very practical at all for an estate. Bit like the Kia Proceed.
If mainstream Hyundai / Kia are anything to go by, at least it should be reliable and last well. Design-wise, to my untutored eye, that front grille does look a bit like a Poundland colander.
Nursery fees are crippling, bloody preach. Both wife and I have good jobs and very respectful salaries, but I'll be damned if having 2 kids in nursery, just moving into a bigger house so higher bills, having car allowance slashed 'as we aren't doing any miles for work anymore' (despite everyone still having expensive cars that the company encouraged), AND the rise in costs at the moment, all are contributing to having no income left at the end of the month! ... But nursery fees alone, its like having another 1.5 mortgages ...
Hmmm, not the car to unsettle ze Germans. Me thinks the 4S are doing the heavy lifting for the pretence of 'shporting'. And who will buy this when the company car driver doesn't have a hybrid option (on top of all the other downsides you spoke of). You've come to the right conclusion of 'Move along, nothing to see here'. Shame

Everything's upside down

Nice one Tim

Aww you say the nicest things!
Excellent again, as always, but Shooting Brake is a silly name.
great, I was looking for a review of this car;) have you tested the g80 too?

Hope Genesis does better than Infiniti did in the UK

I agree, that front grill shape is a little challenging 🤔
If only it had that stinger engine, it would be more interesting.
How tall are you, Sir?
6’3” sir
@@TimRodieDrivesStuff well, since I'm the shortest giant in the world at 5'10", I guess this G70 is the right size for me 😅

Yup, 2 kids for 3 days a week is £2300 here. It's utterly ridiculous
@@TimRodieDrivesStuff wow, that is a lot! Slightly higher than ours, glad we live int' north lad!
There are renders of the g70 as a coupe and it’s the sexiest thing on the planet. But they made this instead 😐

Put it up there with a 3series.. 🤣 👏
Close… no cigar
