Ruby was in a Heavy Metal band and was the drummer so his growl that he does is inspired by that. They both have a great range for their voices because of their musical backgrounds. $crim was a DJ that was signed to Universal for a brief period but he ended up leaving and sold furniture. Nearly all the beats are made by him. ALSO, they’re cousins and not friends. $crim came to Ruby asking him to make music with him and convinced him to try rap and that if they didn’t make it by a certain age, i believe it may have been 30 i could be wrong, that they’d kill themselves. $crim was making music by himself beforehand and wasn’t having much success. That’s why they’re called $uicideBoy$.

Yeah Ruby is actually a really good singer and can hit a lot of ranges and notes, he was in a metal band and was a drummer and has a really good sense of rhythm and that's why his flows are so crazy.
