    The best tutorial!
    It’s so important to loosen the tuning peg a lot before you put the string on. Then after putting the string in, pulling up on the slack string while tightening the tuning peg- makes it easy peasy.
    Thanks for the great video!

    Why did you set the tuner to 442 instead of 440? Nice video, I love how bright and clean the picture is. I'm about to change all of my strings. Can't wait!

    Next time when any of my strings would break by " accident ", i will be sure to try that way of setting it in tuning pins ^^ hopefully it won't be such a nightmare anymore xD Thank you guys for relaxing video

    Hello, recently I’ve been trying to replace 3 strings, but the 6th string keeps breaking. I think it is because the tension is too high but I’m not sure how to release the tension to get to the correct note.

      Hi, you can shift the bridge to the right side of you a little (right side of you when playing the guzheng).

    hmm,. my guzheng is strange, there is no hole to access the strings on the underbelly of the instrument, and the strings are tied at both ends, left and right with pins.. the strings dont have the metal stopper at the end. how to re-string this type of guzheng?

      @@EightTonesMusic oh no its still a guzheng , i think its some kind of travel guzheng, taiwan style perhaps, 18 strings all steel strings without nylon, both fixed bridges are straight

    Hello I have a question I got a guzheng a couple days ago I’ve snapped 2 strings already, I admit 1 of the strings I accidentally over tightened it but now I know how tight I can go but I was packing it away loosening the strings and a string snapped when I was loosening it, is there something I don’t know or was there something wrong with the string ?

    • @EightTonesMusic
      @EightTonesMusic  Год назад

      Hi, it could the bridge position that causes the tension to be too high, or it could be the string quality or the wood splinters.

      Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes there is a C tuning too, but the tuning chart is a little bit different. (please don't tune everything down by one whole tone)
