Okay I had to know how it works... I loaded the save up and tried the Orin fight again. Killing all of the Sanctuary protected Ball Worshipers BEFORE the fight made it so that the Boon of Bhaal statue never gets deactivated and it gives unstoppable stacks every round. I need to kill them during the fight (or maybe just kill the last one?) and that triggers it to leave the combat and no longer grant unstoppable stacks.

OMG thanks for this! i booby-trapped the whole temple while keeping Orin in a cutscene and then triggered the bomb, and i had to fight her with invincible stacks all along, never knowing that there was a better way.
Next time, i'm gonna cheese all her warriors but keep the Worshipers alive, just killing them later in the fight

From my experience the Orin bug happens when you approach her from her own room instead of walking up to her normally. It makes the fight immensely tedious yeah. 😅
Had the same thing happen, I thougth it was the skull statue of bhaal giving her unstoppable every turn
I have never seen orin without unstoppable, just tanked it… although if you kill everyone she will take more damage over her “unstoppable” status. Idk, I played the game like 5 times and every time she had the status on
So I looked it up and the wiki says she gets the buff unless the fight is one on one. Is that true? Like if I had only used one character I would have been doing fat damage?
@@Fracture.Gaming I think that only applies to the invited 1v1 scenario.
@@Riinkz yeah you're right, I went back and did a lil testing to figure out better how it works for the non 1v1 scenario and killing the Bhaal worshipers pre combat made it so the Boon of Bhaal never left combat like it should have.
I was so hoping that potion would heal the Netherbrain to full.

Looking at a narrative perspective, the trio's plan fired and almost conquered the world in just less than a week in its execution if you're counting how much you long rest as 1 day.
Truly, it only made these heroes seem all the more even greater.
Normally, the game takes place over about 120 days
(Based off of Withers saying its been 'a dozen tendays' since you woke up on the beach)
But these guys did it in 7

Note, I'm fairly sure you can skip the entire murder investigation. The circle in front of the door to orin's temple simply wants blood. If you shoot the bodies hanging over the circle they'll bleed on it and the door will open.
I couldn't find the amulet in one of my playthroughs so I had to use this method.
Lmao and I was kinda puzzled with it... Had to use "Knock" as Gale
The amulet is what lets you into the actual temple as well, so it’s still needed, though there’s a spot where you can misty step directly through the door. Also, if you’re playing Durge, the door to the temple gets opened for you.
i'm assuming this is a bug but for me the blood thing didn't work. What did work however was asserting dominance over the door by rubbing my sorcerer's face into it's crevices and then having that same sorcerer pound both herself and the door with a fireball. Intimidation check succeeded I guess?
You can also have a party member stand in the circle & hit them
I like that the damage number covers up the si of resist, leaving just the letters of RE ST showing, truly a sign pf sleep to come

Bro the same thing happened to me with the Orin fight. I ended up just using the bow that frightens on her over and over again since she doesn’t have ranged attacks 😂 I figured it was bugged because I lured her away from the arena before starting but after killing all the minions lol
“Bhaal worshippers” might be the most unfortunate string of words I’ve heard in relation to this game… sucks you were so tired for most of it, but ig the immersion is real. Great video as always!

Yeah I normally wouldn’t play for a video while super tired, but this video felt like a perfect exception to that rule

You can shoot one of the hanging corpses above the door at Bhaal's temple entrance to unlock the door. Saves a bit of time and a lot of murder.

That Orin fight had to be bugged. Maybe there was a missed trigger that would have occurred had you initiated the fight via conversation. Super weird that it did that. Great video btw; I have been waiting for it with much anticipation!

The immortal guys only give orin armor I think. But she can be killed similar like them. Also weird that google censors the word of the spell they have on them.

If I'm not mistaken - Shooting at bodies hanging next to entrance into Orin's lair - opens a door, so no need running around with murder case. At least I heard it used to.
Valeria i killed that stupid elephant the second i saw him in sharess's caress had no idea it was a quest or a whole thing. instantly completed the unholy assassins requirement tho so that was cool

Hey, I know it’s kinda late to tell you, if you shoot the corpses above the the circle in front of Bhaal’s temple, it’ll open the door. I didn’t feel like doing the Murder Tribunal so I found a way to get into the temple without going through that whole thing.

You can completely skip over having to do the murder investigations to get into Orins lair. When you get to the entrance of Orins temple, there are two bodies hanging up on the ceiling. Shoot one with an arrow, and the door opens. The only thing you will need to open the actual doors leading to Orin is the Temple of Bhaal Amulet.
You being so over it definitely added to it. Poor tavs just want to sleep
i'd argue it's even easier to gun it straight for the Tribunal than go to the murderer first. Guess it depends on how the fight goes
I didn't meet Valeria literally until I found him captive in the murder tribunal and I was very confused by what the hells this elephant thing was, I thought it was a visual bug lmao
A knock spell will open the door into the temple if you don’t want to do the murder investigation stuff.
Best way i get too gortach is steal somestuff on the street until they arrest me brings you straight to gortach

I mostly just use knock to open the door to where you kill Orin, completely bypassing the murder tribunal lol

Orin gets the unstoppables from Bhaal every round. I don’t think it’s a bug.
I tested it! She stops getting unstoppable when you kill the Sanctuary protected bhaal worshipers. However, if you kill them before the fight, then it doesn't trigger the Boon of Bhaal to leave combat. So I would have needed to save at least one of them I think and kill it after combat has started, and then she stops getting stacks for the rest of combat.

A great end to a great series. I think after this challenge, a simple "can you murder every NPC" run would do well.

I actually found out you can use a summon to get reach on Gorty and than grab him with a displacement spell... I Successfully displaced him at the edge of his castle and pushed him gently to his doom on the bridge below...

So I've been collecting body parts in a bag at my vamp for a while ever since I found out Ashton was a vampire and needed blood thinking he could feast on the body parts ... can I just use ot for this .. or was that morbid bag a mistake lol
Since I killed Orin in first turn in normal run, I walked into Orin fight in honor mode without knowing that bs mechanic. I end up wiping 2.5 times to finish her.
guys. this might sound crazy but I think the skull wall in the Orin fight gives her the 10 stacks of unstoppable, making it so you have to hit her at least 10 times to get damage off on her before it gets a turn, and has nothing to do with the other guys down there
Okay so I looked it up and the wiki says it only joins the fight if you aren’t fighting her one on one… does that mean if I had used just one character the fight would have been way faster than with three?

@@chickennuggler Okay so I couldn't resist and I'm literally testing right now. The solo thing didn't work and doesn't seem to matter, the issue is that I killed her cultists before the fight started. If you kill the cultists after the fight starts, she stops receiving the boon of unstoppable after the last one is dead. So I think the game just needs that trigger to occur while the fight is in progress. I guess just save one cultist and knock them off after you start the fight? No more unstoppable stacks!
@@Fracture.Gaming I see. so it’s like an if-then kinda fight. IF all alive cultists are killed after the fight starts, THEN the boon stops. problem resides the fact that there are no registered ALIVE cultists to begin with so you can’t really kill what isn’t really alive…

What I am curious about is how does the story progress since you get to know about the prism and Emperor during long rest
There are only 2 compulsory long rests between acts, iirc, which he dealt with in this challenge by immediately spending the same resources the rest had restored
but yeah it's really funny to imagine the emperor being like "why does this woman never sleep fff"
I don't think you need to fight those particular rats? I just kinda ignored them and they let me through without issue. Or maybe that was a bug as well 😅

Man I hate Orin, I just think she’s such a badly written character especially in comparison to other characters in game like Ketheric. I do not understand what they were thinking when they decided to have her speak the way she does, it makes her sound like a 14 year old edgelord you know? And it makes every occurrence of her threatening you etc just sadly hilarious, whenever she takes another form it’s more than obvious that it her and the fact that your dialogue options are limited to ‘oh no it’s orin’ instead of ‘yeah that was obvious’ is annoying… it’s just sad, her character has so much potential to be truly unsettling and instead we get a raving try hard…
