That was incredible! I played this piece for my final concert as a seventh grader and I had the honor of scaring the audience as the second solo screamer. The cello part, which I played, is absolutely beautiful in this piece and all together this piece is something of a horror movie; startling yet still wanting you to see how it ends.
They played this song at my school at an assembly and they had a costume of the rosin eating zombie from outer space and that guy was messing with people
@Hightiideloners haha..... I learned this song 2 years ago cuz my school plays it this year and im the only one in my grade who already knows how to play it..... I play viola and i use this video to practice this song... its the loudest video yet so i plug it into my speakers and my viola doesnt sound louder than this so i can practice with it... you guys are really good
@crannaford oh okay haha I didn't read that...haha read the des. And totally didn't see it! This is a really good version, one of the best I've seen btw :)
Brilliant Freak2k! Our conductor often calls up little kids from the audience, gets them in a huddle and whispers to them what to do. That's always good fun. Keep it up and thanks for commenting
@rattaildude42 Hahaaa! No, I think you should do the real screams ~ and as loud as you can because it's heaps of fun. We just toned it down a bit for the hospital situation :)
@xevildan Great to hear you are practicing your viola. Don't give up, work hard and the wonderful world of music awaits you :) These teenagers first played this in a primary school orchestra. Two of them are now in University and the others soon will be. They all play classical, jazz and rock. I'd love to hear all about your musical adventures in the future.
This is ahhmazing! We have to play this is in our orchestra (7th & 8th combined) we're okay.. but not as great as you guys! The vibrato was excellent. I play the cello, :)
@xevildan check out the video of 50 In The City, 2 of the Resin Eating Zombie players are in this band and the guitarist is a cellist from the same primary school orchestra. There are no limits once you start learning music
@crannaford I learned this song 2 years ago cuz my school plays it this year and im the only one in my grade who already knows how to play it..... I played this at a camp when I was in 6th grade I had TONS of fun I had a screaming part and there were some guys who did the other scream!! I liked yours a lot!!
I'm doing Violin II for my concert and I am so confident because there are only three (including me) Violin II's that can do the sixteen note parts.. Good job!
You're absolutely correct. This is in fact Rosin Eating Zombies from Outer space by Richard Meyer. He has another piece called Curse of the Rosin Eating Zombies from Outer Space. They are great fun pieces from a brilliant composer.
Omg we are playing this in my skool and it is so fun except we accually scream and at the all scream my conducter might run of stage and then the concert master is gonna stand up and give the last three notes.
did this for the 5th graders when they came to visit and see what middle school was like and now im in high school and that wa about 2 years ago but it wasnt at good as what you did here
The kids are musicians from different schools in South Australia... they're a group of friends who called themselves. "Goldilocks and the Four Bears" :) They're now all adults, some are playing professionally in symphony orchestras.

It's a great piece. A real audience pleaser. Glad you enjoyed the video. These kids are adults now and all great musicians.
I am playing this song in school for the concert but at part 0:10 when they play behind the bridge it's a scream solo
+Fabulous “AzulFlor” Gamer Hahaa!! Yes, these guys usually scream too... but didn't think it would go down so well in a hospital :)
Fabulous Gamer same
who would play this music in a hospital, its like scary music to the patients, i would be freaked out!!!
The patients loved it hahaa!! :)
They played this song at my school at an assembly and they had a costume of the rosin eating zombie from outer space and that guy was messing with people
Joseph Fursov Nice touch! We should get a guy in a costume hahaaa!!
A scream would have been awesome, but they were in a hospital and didn't want to scare the sick people :)

@Hightiideloners haha..... I learned this song 2 years ago cuz my school plays it this year and im the only one in my grade who already knows how to play it..... I am thinking of suggesting doing the screams like you do.
i love this song..im a viola player and i like what they do at the end when they go up down from the c string to a string
@ThePIEGUY500 Oh dear! Yellow stand is 1st violin..., the next is 2nd violin, then the Viola, then double bass and cello... you were so close :)
@crannaford oh okay haha I didn't read that...haha read the des. And totally didn't see it! This is a really good version, one of the best I've seen btw :)

We're playing the same piece in orchestra class:). The screamer at my school is the bass player and he has a REALLY high pitched scream
Our 7th grade orchestra is supposed to play this for a winter concert, but I bet we won't be as good as you guys. Keep up the good work!
So..? Your playing this ,super scary song at a hospital? How encouraging
@jessep500 hahaaa! Yes, but we were in a Hospital full of sick people, so we didn't want to alarm them :D
Brilliant Freak2k! Our conductor often calls up little kids from the audience, gets them in a huddle and whispers to them what to do. That's always good fun. Keep it up and thanks for commenting
@kw34w Yes! Hilarious, a zombie walked by at 1.59 ~ Couldn't have planned it if we'd tried :)
@rattaildude42 Hahaaa! No, I think you should do the real screams ~ and as loud as you can because it's heaps of fun. We just toned it down a bit for the hospital situation :)

You did so good! I didn't like that you had no scream, but everything else was amazing! Standing OV for you!

me too!
Cool beans
So from what I can see, you need a 1st violin, a second violin, a viola, a bass, and a cello
We played this at a concert and I did so terribly (1st violin) xD
I'm sure you did a great job:)
@jessep500 I wouldn't suggest screaming like it is required in the music in a hospital, lol
@NinJuniorz Hahaaa! yes! :) great fun!
@JoeMotha42 Of course! everyone thinks their instrument is the best :D
Did I see a Zombie at 2:02?
Haa at my school they had someone scream for them
Is that a quartet?
Keep practicing and you'll be on the front desk before you know it :)
Hahahaha! yes, Zombie screams left out because they were playing in a hospital full of fragile people... didn't want to scare them lol
