@@clevelandwilliams5922 You can't dwell in "what ifs". The hard cold reality of the matter is Souths didn't score more points because Penrith were the better side defensively, and this is the point of what wins a GF.
I do realise that most Souths fans have a hard time with the loss sinking in is very evident on the interweb, but the sooner they come to terms with this loss, the sooner they can move on. We did last year when we had a bludger of a GF against the Storm. Boy what a dog's breakfast that turned out to be.:)

@MrBoon Salt is strong with this one. Cleary WAS the difference with his beautiful kicking game. The best player in the NRL as voted by his peers.
Always loved the cut of his Jib, Ivan. I remember his warriors team 2002 were an unbelievable side.

@@aaronward6466 Cody is a wonderful player. Saw him at Penrith Park one time, and the destructive speed they had in that backline could only be appreciated when you watch them live.

Watch the game again and it's pretty clear that Souths were under pressure for most of the game. And remember, we had a try disallowed because of a forward pass from Kiks. So in essence, if you want to discredit what happened to Souths, you have to give the same credit to Penrith.

@@panthers1963 Difference is Penrith did it all year and win many games on it. A as soon as it got pointed out Penrith weren't dominate anymore. What about your trainers stopping games all year getting away with it, the trainer telling players where to stand in the defensive line. All teams do it but it just shows how much Penriith can't dominate without breaking the rules.

Absolutely not. The onus needs to be on the ball player to get the ball away before contact. Unless the defender is swiping AT the ball, not in motion of making a tackle.
@ Hamish Bradley. Even though Souths had no challenge left, Sutton gave them an advantage by checking it when they complained. You can clearly hear him on the feed asking the bunker to check it, which they did. The replay showed Cleary had not touched the ball. If anyone got robbed on that it was Penrith because Souths were effectively given a challenge they shouldn't have been allowed.
