Note to self: Emma’s podcast should be watched in the morning or risk being overly stimulated and inspired before bedtime 😂❤

Great to watch your video this afternoon. So sorry about Hobbs, I hope he mends quickly. Lovely to see all your knitting progress and plans. Little Women and the 3 books in the series were one of my favourites as a child. Also I read all the Anne of Green Gables books and the 3 Katy books but another favourite is Daddylong Legs by Jean Webster. It is great as an older adult to go back and reread these great stories. So glad that you are keeping your music as a relaxing outlet. Music needs to be fun. 🇬🇧

I’m sorry to hear about Hobbes’ surgery. Your mom will for sure see that he has the best recovery. 🥰. Wow…the color work sweater!!

She definitely will see that he gets that R&R in! Even if he doesn't want it too much.

Emma, I'm so sorry about Hobbs' surgery. I have an 8-year-old border collie who had that surgery a couple of years ago. Just wanted to encourage him to get as much rest as possible (I had 3 dogs at the time, and it was a challenge to keep him still). A year later, they did surgery to fix whatever he had undone somehow. Felt so badly for him, b/c he just didn't want to be still, and my husband and other dogs didn't work hard at it. However, second time was good. Also, we were told at the first surgery he probably would need surgery on the other leg for same thing (ACL), but we had him rest so much with two surgeries that he allowed his leg to heal. It probably wasn't as bad, either. But it's not 100% that they need the second leg. I will be thinking of him and your folks. LOVE that he's getting walks in the stroller. One of my favorite dog stories is where the woman had an older dog (small bull dog of some kind) who had chased and barked at the UPS truck his whole life. When he got old, he couldn't physically do it, so his owner put him in a stroller and would run after the truck, the dog barking as hard as he could. The story ends, "That's what love looks like if you've forgotten." We lost our 14-year-old girl bc this past Friday, so I'm tender to dogs and dog stories right now. But I hope Hobbs heals well, fully, and quickly. As usual, thank you for your knitting information and inspiration. You have taught me a ton--though I must say, I have spent quite a bit at The Woolly Thistle I likely would not have had you not sent me their way. :) So, really, thank you for that as well. Rest up for your running. Till my feet gave out, I was a runner--not your league, but it is a good feeling. B well.

Thank you for sharing so much! That human dog UPS truck story is so sweet. I hope that Hobbes heals well too and that you grieve well for your lost pet. He has been doing a good job resting thanks to drugs but hopefully he does a good job with a full recovery and doesn't need that second knee surgery!

O my gosh Emma, I hope you understand me when i write "you broke my brain!" ( I was glad to hear that you decided to add Little Women sock designs! I had commented a few months ago how i thought of you when I saw the film)...Your energy is like a whirlpool or tornado or maelstrom...i am in awe of your creativity, but i am exhausted in a good way after listening to your latest video

Yes, I do understand this. Sometimes I actually exhaust myself! I am like the energizer bunny sometimes. I have to keep going because if I stop, I crash very hard!

maybe you could do a temperature sock with the sock yarn scraps. I think that's what it's called --pick a color and assign it a temperature range, then every day knit the temperature stripe

On the topic of "normal people doing the Olympics", these two Aussie brothers have been doing almost all Olympic events... in a single week. (They're pretty in shape.) As a rower I thought it was hilarious, although they're actually scary good at it! ruclips.net/video/s0GwhUOF5jU/видео.html&pp=ygUSb2x5bXBpY3MgaW4gYSB3ZWVr
