I’m a Gemini North Node. Aladdin was my favorite movie as a child. I watched it soooo many times lol. Dressed up as Princess Jasmine for Halloween many times smh. I grew up in a big family. I was very talented as a child. Became an elementary school teacher and now I am a full time abstract artist. Gosh, I feel so called out. I don’t travel, I consider myself a leader in my work, I wanted to escape my family narrative and do things differently. I’m very optimistic, I was a natural at languages as a child, I’m very intuitive (not at all logical), I don’t sit still, I don’t like confrontation, I don’t handle rejection very well, I’m not the best listener, I avoid the news as I take it all on and really struggle with it, I don’t like technology. I’ve also always wanted to write a book yet I come to a dead end constantly yet working 1:1 with people has been amazing and I’ve seen such incredible shifts. I don’t really like all of this stuff about myself now I’m writing it down!
What you're saying about coping with family dynamics, & feeling repressed, all applies to me. I grew up feeling very misunderstood & didn't have the answers for a lot of things, especially things of a more spiritual nature that I was experiencing. Many things I was given or offered no foundational understanding for or of. The only times I ever "got out", was during family vacations growing up, going to Colorado, Arizona.... yet other traveling excursions, I never did traveling or moving around alone. So it was a HUGE thing when I moved to LA when I was 20... just packed up my car with all my belongings & I didn't even have my own place to go to yet! it was an even bigger & more out of my comfort zone deal, when I moved here to Kauai! Mainly because I had ZERO support from family, so I had to figure everything out mySelf.. the morning I flew out from California, I was in the car on the ride to the airport feeling overwhelmed, looking at this BEAUTIFUL sunrise & just in tears! I kept telling mySelf, "I'm actually doing this!"... When I got on the plane, the same thing happened, but they were tears of overwhelm & excitement & joy... not a combination I had experience with either. It was almost as if I was mourning my old Self, while stepping into a newer version of mySelf that I was not super familiar with, yet I still felt that I was doing the right thing... even though no one in my family called or texted any sort of support or well wishes. No one understood, but plenty judged & assumed. Stories about what I must be up to or why I moved out here were shared with me over a year later by my mom - typical in my family to tell me about any gossip on me much later on than when it started... even though NONE of those stories held any truth or relevance for me AT ALL... the things that people make up their minds to believe about you & your life, or your choices, without actually ASKING the SOURCE that the gossip & assumptions are about in the first place, are just very hurtful & disappointing, but some have also been hilarious, so I can't say it's all been bad. Yet the one thing that I always appreciate, is when someone actually gets out of their way to ASK, because I respect them that much more & I appreciate it. I'm not offended, I'll tell you straight up, even if there's a back story, to give you the full story/picture... what I've noticed is that the energy I share with someone who wants to know or understand, shifts into a lot more of a harmonious vibe. While with other people, there seems to be a feeling of tension or distance,;it's obvious by how they are with/around/toward me, that they have assumed an idea about me or my life & are deciding for themselves to believe it & accept it as truth... it's a very distinctive energy & many times, it's disappointing because you start to recognize how assumptive or limited that person is in other areas of their own life.... something they probably don't recognize for themselves, so you end up being part of the target projection, just by existing & having ANYTHING go on in your life, that makes them uncomfortable or confused.
These are my nodes & barely 3 minutes in as Ethan starts describing TOTALLY resonates! I'm 39 & its just the last year or 2, that I've been moving out my south node & into my north node energy, but also recognizing where my north node energy has been popping up throughout my life as well! I used to be so annoyed with Geminis, lol!! I was raised in a somewhat religious family. My moon is also in SN Sagittarius, and I would say I am a very spiritual person, who does likes to investigate in the mystics. My Neptune is also in this sign lol so I would say my view might be a little diluted with some magical thinking. It does helps me through my darkest time but it also obstruct reality.
