I think I've watched every possible flight review video on Lufthansa Allegris, in both English and German. And I've finally come across the most qualitative, detailed and enjoyable to watch. Excellent work Alvin! A very nice review, as usual!
I saw Alvin's teasing this review on instagram and have been checking his RUclips channel regularly to finally watch a legit review of Lufthansa's new product. Better late than never as they say for Lufthansa as it has now leverage to really become a 5 star airline in Europe and finally compete with Air France, Swiss Air and KLM for the best airline in Europe.
Great video! Certainly a massive step up from Lufthansa. I do wonder about creating such an apparent hierarchy within the business cabin though, I'm sure it will frustrate their frequent flyer base.
Great review of the new Allegris seats, Alvin! I always love your cinematic presentation. It looks like this is a big step up for Lufthansa. I'm glad it came off so well. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Great aviation video, as always....probably the best RUclips creator on aviation, travel content. Much better than most other aviation RUclipsrs who just b.s. a lot to attract clicks. I watched every aviation videos in this channel.... Great work! Keep giving us more of these high quality videos!
Thanks for another beautifully crafted feast for the eyes Alvin. I do like the new Allegris product, and it`s certainly an overdue step-up from the old Lufthansa business class product.
@@onemoreweektogoHi Alvin, could you please name the songs you used in this video. Absolutely love them, fits perfectly with the visuals. Great work as always. Can’t wait for more videos
First time seeing your channel! Love the commentary and camera work 👍 a350 is my favorite plane to fly hope I can try out Lufthansa business class soon
Great video as usual! Someone told me our voices are similar so I came to watch your content. :) I recently used Lufthansa Business Class and created content. It wasn't as epic as yours, though. Thanks for the great content!
Fantastic review! Great job! Excellent visuals, very thorough and informative. This looks like a very high quality hard product and on a similar level to the top players in the industry.
Beautiful footage of the Arctic, Alvin. Nice product, though the food looked mediocre. I still miss the older livery: the gold makes the difference. Thank you, as always.
Hi Alvin, thanks for creating this video. My Dad and I are traveling together in the near future on the Lufthansa Allegris Business on the A350-900. Which seats in Business Class would you recommend? Single privacy seats for each of us or the middle two seats that sort of become a suite?
I had the chance to try the new lufthansa's business class from San Francisco to Munich in a window seat (but not the same one, the one with the seat towards the aisle and the storage towards the window). My food experience was quite different. I don't know if there was a problem, but there was nothing beyond the pack of nuts served before 1 and half hour into the flight, which I found annoying given that we took off at 9:30pm. A welcome glass of champagne/avionics/etc. with an amuse-bouche or even just the nuts in the first half hour after take off would have been great. The meal was served on a tray with the amuse-bouche, starter and main dish alltogether. Even though, it was with real knife and fork, glass and crockery on a white cloth, the fact that it was served in one go on a tray made it look cheaper than it was. A pity rreally as it woudln't have cost much to serve it in 3 goes as in the video. Overall the food experience was ok but somewhat disappointing for a business class. The seat is great. Firmness is ajustable and the self-control heating/cooling is a very nice feature (the automatic tirne off after 10 min is a bit short though). You can really sleep rather well. The seat I had offered enough privacy IMHO (even thou on the aisle side) and a _lot_ of storage window side which was very handy to have all your stuff at hand (but not so good for taking a look through the window). Even though privacy was fine for me even aisle side, I wondered why they didn't add doors for all the seats. Doesn't seem like a very complex or expensive add-on. My only minor reamark about the seat is that I found that the foot rest was too far (ironic, isn't it?) and couldn't be reached unless in an almost flat mode. If you're not absolutely set on a seat type, I would advise choosing any "free" seat and then look up two days before the flight when changing for any seat is free. On my flight, all type of seats were choosable 2 day before take-off. As for the screen you can have both screen on at the same time. That worked perfectly well for me, the small one being your command or "plane camera view" screen and the main one showing your movie. Hence you don't have to interrupt the movie to change the light or seat setting. Overall the entertainement system was great. Basically my conclusion: excellent seat and seating plan, good entertainment but could do better on food , service and amenity kits. Is it worth the money ? Well that depends very much on the size of your purse. I would rather eat at a michelin 3 star restaurant and sleep at a 5 star hotel (several nights) than paying the same price for a 10h flight but if you can have both of course then it's worth it.
Hello! very very beautiful presentation, after watching so many others. One question: would you suggest sitting in the front lager cabin or the one further back? I read somewhere that the back had bin storage and the front did not. Thanks!
Yes for some reason the front cabin doesn’t have the storage bins in the middle. It makes the cabin feel a lot more spacious due to the higher overhead, but at the expense of less storage.
I personlly prefer retaining some physical buttons rather than rely on ipad style touch screen functions, but apart from that, I am impressed with the allegris product. Now how does the new allegris from Lufthansa compare to its business class competitors from BA, Air France, Swiss and Virgin?
There were definitely a few times during the flight where I preferred a physical button for sure! Having flown on BA’s new club world suites back from London, I think I’d still prefer that one more.
It seems to me that when it comes to just the basic seat, BAs, AFs and Virgins latest products do beat the classic seat present here, however if you do need an extra long bed, or need to travel with a baby basinet, or want the maximum amount of table space, then LH will provide that for you, for an extra charge of course. I’d say it truly depends on your needs, but for most people who do not need any of those extras this is not better than the competition, but is still a welcome step to catch up with the competition and a massive step forwards from the current cabins. 7 years ago this would have been an awesome cabin with great innovation, but it has taken too long to come out, while the competition has already gone further. A lot will also depend on how much they will charge for the different seat types. With the suites it does make sense to price them higher, but I truly hope the difference between the classic seats and the ”privacy seats” (the true window seats) will not be that high as on similar stagered layouts on competing carriers they would be considered the same seat when it comes to pricing. When it comes to Swiss, there won’t be much to compare in the future with the upcoming ”SWISS Senses” cabins, as they are identical when it comes to the layout.
Interesting. Other reviewers made a video on the same inaugural flight from YVR to MUC but they were in Allegris Premium Economy. Probably on the same plane and same flight. Well done video BTW.
Did you get to see the single row of economy class seats at the front of the plane that are being used as placeholders for the new First Class seats that haven't yet been certified?
Thank you for sharing the Lufthansa business class review on the A350. I am glad to know Lufthansa business class upgrade isn't up to par compared to other competitors, especially for their price range. Overall, the aisle access and legroom design are a great, but found their Amenity package very cheap and stingy concept. I found it very surprising, they do not offer any slippers, and had not tablet option. I flew the A350 new business class from Munich to JFK, and I only receive the bag, and they didnt offer the pouch. Their standardization system is very poor. Overall, my experience was below par compared to other competitors, offering better business class experiences to JKF. Even their own group, LOT Airline offers the best business class experience in their Miles&More group at a lower rate as well.
are all the A350-900 new? with new business class and premium seats? How can I tell if the flight i’m taking as the new seats or not? example Lufthansa LH 767 Economy Airbus A350
Interesting video. Thank you! Calm voice, very nice. But one thing: I don't want to see people that are eating, especially noodles... It never looks good.
I went out of my way to try one of the first Allegris flights as well, found it rather underwhelming tbh. The seats are years late, after all. Food and service were average. I like the color palette though lol. And the lavatory finishes were nice. The only thing I found interesting was the seat heating/cooling. The cooling actually worked pretty well, glad I got to try it out before it all breaks... The front-row business suites do look a lot better than most of the "business plus" type seats that are trending nowadays, but I can only think about how that contributes to an uneven business class experience between seat types. And I had the same experience with only being able to use one of the 2 screens at a time. What an appallingly horrible design choice.
I didn’t get to sit in one as both flights I took were fully booked. Only got to try the other “Extra Space Seat” on the return flight. But yeah those seats are the least desirable, and in future they’ll be priced accordingly I suspect.
@@onemoreweektogo priced accordingly? Soon when you buy a ticket you get a classis seat. If you want to have a better one you have to pay extra for reservation, or hope for a chance at online check in.

I cant believe you have to pay for Wifi in business class?????? The obly good thing is the seat, thats all. Food was not good at all as well. Not worth pf money at all!
Seems like a revenue grab rather than a consumer driven design. Creating a class system within Business Class is ridiculous... There are not enough letters in the alphabet... J, C, D, R, I... Also, I am sick of seats designed for tall men. You are 5'7" and could not reach the foot rest. The average woman is 5'4". As you pointed out, the inability to simultaneously use the tablet and the monitor is inexcusable. I can do that with my laptop and phone. Speaking of ancient technology... a headphone jack? Apple got rid of it in 2016. I want to use my own wireless, noise-cancelling earbuds that hold only my personal bacteria. By the way, I was thrilled that you used the hot towel as intended... to clean your hands... not to bathe. Further evidence of the revenue grab: unappealing food, elegant descriptions for unimaginative wines, garbage amenities kit, no sleep attire, no real bedding... only a lousy blanket... and outrageous internet fees. Sadly, the consumer is dead. Killed by shareholders who empower overpaid CEOs. That's my rant.
Some newer IFE systems have a bluetooth connection for your own headset, but even the syncing process has extra steps involved. I just plug in a bluetooth dongle that’s already linked to my own headphones. Luckily the Allegris seat looks to have a single headphone jack that doesn’t require a dual-mono adapter.
