I like your style, telling it straight. Sometimes the truth hurts. I live in the Texas panhandle region and I water 2 and 3 times daily just to keep my plants alive. My guava is struggling to stay moist. Short of an irrigation system, that I can't afford, I will water multiple times daily. I enjoy videos, please keep them coming.

You're so right! I had a gorgeous pineapple guava tree that was about 7 years old. Lots of fruit. We had a drought last summer and I thought "oh well its drought tolerant" WRONG! It died. Now I'm starting over with a new one. Lesson learned Lol 🙄
yeah, the little succulent i have in a pot outside was still surviving, but until i repotted i didnt know that all that dead organic matter it was potted in went completely hydrophobic, and my proper care of it giving it some water now and then, didnt hydrate it. roots still alive and well, so i put it in a mostly pumice mix. now it can actually get a drink.
Parts of NC where I live are entering a moderate drought. Our brown grass looks like it belongs in desert and leaves are prematurely dropping off of trees, like tulip poplar. Today, we're finally supposed to get a decent chance of rain, which I hope we get. Much of our country has been under a "heat dome," which I've gotten to hate even more than the cold in winter. All of this makes watering practices supremely important, as you always mention.
We get your weather like that in the UAE. In the Gulf, our temperature now in summer ranges from 45 to 49 degrees. Our figs unless in shade or covered under shade they get burned.
only time figs burn once fully established in ground is if they don't have enough water.

But I do have it under 50-50 sunshade.

Is the reason my banana pup got stem rot because I watered it too much? I watered it like I did because Pete at Green Dreams TV said you can't over water bananas, his place is in central Florida and his bananas are all in the ground in sand and that is probably why he can't over water his bananas. Not sure about that guy but bananas grow like weeds in central Fl. They literally grow faster than you can kill them. Check you email for tracking info :)
