Potentially educational series idea: Something like guess the elo but where the Gotham Sub is live with Levy and they explain what they're thinking when they play each move, and Levy says if the thought process is valid or not.
That's an interesting idea, perhaps he could do an episode of GTE where he does that. Technically they are live with him in chat and they will at times explain their thought process, but a more dedicated episode where that is the focus would be interesting.

With the current 7 piece tablebase, the longest sequence is mate in 549.
@@tomriddle2257 Sure. But I didn't know Stockfish even calculated 52 moves in advance.... To be fair, it is the endgame.
@@plzletmebefrank It’s a pre-calculated endgame table. Stockfisch completely stops any calculations beyond the point where it reaches any position with 7 or less pieces.

I don't think there's been a smothered mate that actually got played in guess the elo, but I remember there being an episode where Levy showed a possible smothered mate in the past....might have to go back and look for it.
