Fun fact: I narrated this video 2 days after a very invasive visit to my dentist (he and his tools were invasive, not me). So my mouth looked like a No Man's Land and it hurt just as much. I had serious problems trying to pronounce like half of all the English words... and just my luck, I had to narrate my longest video yet. The uncut narration with all the outtakes was over 1 hour long lol. Also, this comment section is absolutely insane xD You guys are the best. LUV YA
LoL, I hope you get better soon. From modeling videos you're like Bob Ross, you always paint a happy tank... I was wondering if one day you will make a video about the techniques and tricks you know, like that of the rivets. I appreciate your videos a lot, I always learn something new, thanks!
I actually like how much longer this episode was, I wouldnt mind if any others run on a bit longer as well, and I would Love more of these restoration type episodes. Stronk Tenk!
STRONK TENK! New fan here, dug out a bunch of model jets of sentimental value and am a wargamer and casual tank modeler myself, been hunting for various model restoration videos. Started watching this for fun but ended up learning a LOT! Thanks!
you said that this was going to be a loooong video, but i love it as background noise. i even thought it was going to be over half an hour to an hour. keep up the great videos
This is perfect as I'm currently building a 1:56 version for my Bolt Action Army. Awsome video as always. Looking forward to the painting of the stronk tenk
Stronk tenk is glorious! And that rivet technique is really good - and just what I need - thanks. Never knew there was such a thing as black superglue either! Great video, cheers.
I've been modeling for over 40 years. It's always blown my mind how modelers seem to HAVE to replicate exactly the tank/model they're building. Look at pictures of the day, there was a lot more mods than we would like to believe. Also, there is nothing wrong in adding a detail, no matter how exact or perfect, to bring some visual interest to the model. All of the mods you've done, will only be detected by an amateur war historian. No one else will know. How ever, those added details will impress anyone looking at it. So, don't get your panties in a bunch about historical accuracy. Have fun. That's what it's all about! Kudos. (stronk tenk)
Why do I like watching your videos so much? I don't model myself because I get too easily frustrated with all the details, but your videos man... I don't know, I keep coming back...
STRONK TENK. I love the Nun movie reference, I couldn't stop laughing. I am becoming more and more anxious for your video releases. Your approach to your tutorials are not only very informative, but amusing. I was focused the whole time, therefore the video was not long at all. My mind was blown btw. Questions: When you told us that this was a good opportunity to go for a drink...did you at anytime have one? And what did you have? Thank you Martin Kovac, I am big fan.
I love watching you do it and how brilliantly perfect you bring them back to life. These metal protections on the rear of the tank are a really great idea. I love your films, Uncle Night Shift. Greetings
At first I thought I'd scratchbuild the entire extra armor kit as used on KV-1E (Ehkranami). But I didn't have enough patience for that. Improvised armor, hmm... I wanted to keep it somewhat reasonable. Russians didn't do much field modifications up until Berlin offensive.
I see. I must use Palmolive Naturals soap (with milk & almonds) to get that smooth finish for my models.... and to keep my modeller hands silky smooth! :D Edit: STRONK TENK
Really appreciate your Library, as I am a grandfather trying to foster model building with my grandson's, they like Starwars models as well as different military craft and vehicles! Thank you!
I love your videos...So informative, so challenging and inspiring. I am so into the way you use brush and paint. I don't have an airbrush and are in the ambition trying to find ways around airbrush to make similar effects with the brush or other technics. This is where your videos are so inspiring. You open doors to another way of thinking and open a door open to a wide amount of options and alternatives. Thank you! Love all your work by the way!!!
Stronk Tenk! Looking forward to the next vid - sounds like it's going to be awesome. I think it's a great idea to renovate old models rather than just building new ones; it can be a challenge to your / our modelling skills to take something that's been built and try and improve it with just spare parts and scratch building. Great stuff.
And the most ridiculous thing is that I used to be that type of guy who would rather throw a bad model in the trash and buy it again :D It's a lot of fun... I mean restoration is a lot of fun. But throwing your models in a bin is also fun. Buying new models is fun too. Dayum, everything's fun.
Nice! I have a KV-1 and a KV_2 from the same company waiting to be built. Thanks for sharing! Once I built a Matchbox Stug IV (1/72) and made 34 modifications! Have fun, Ricardo
I have an unfinished M4A1 Sherman that's been sitting untouched for the last 5 years. You have inspired me to finish it this weekend...just noticed all my putty has dried out lol.

Stroqk T3nk! I love to periodically update a couple of old Italeri M4 Shermans to let them benefit from new developments in aftermarket items. And now Im reworking an old Italeri US Ambulance with new tires, handles etc., which, as you point out in the video just before Stoqk T3nk, it is very rewarding! I actually did the same with a semi rare bandai model I found at a second hand shop. It is a 1/24 early production Tiger with the rounded cheecks turret made by Krup. It has winter camouflage and very heavy die cast(?) figures. It was missing some parts I tryed to build from scratch. And I weathered it some more along with the tracks. I could be made into a RC piece. It is fully detailed on the inside as well. Suspension works. Motor details really glad I picked that up.

Outstanding. Some of the most fun I've had is when pulling and old sub-par model I built long ago and 'fixing' it up with new skill set.
Stronk tenk is glorious! And that rivet technique is really good - and just what I need - thanks. Never knew there was such a thing as black superglue either! Great video, cheers.
