  • My Labour and Birth story - Induction and Emergency C-Section
    I always planned to do a labour experience video but didn't expect to experience induction, labour, forceps and an emergency c-section. Here is what happened.

    I'm so sorry your delivery went that way!! I hate it when doctors don't listen to the patient. I'm so happy you and the baby are OK. Honest to God I would haver curse them out for saying you were not trying to push. When my mom had me (they didn't have epidurals) the doctor said she wasn't trying. My mom cursed him out and said "How dare you say that shit to me! You're suppose to be supportive!" The doctor left the room my mom did not care! The second doctor knew better.

    U r amazing! I have been watching ur journey almost nonstop the last few days. U r sooo strong! I'm 44 and was just told last week that the reason for all of my miscarriages is because I have bad eggs and need donor eggs. U have been such an amazing inspiration!! I hope to save up and start our journey in Sept. My mom is mixed and u look soooooo much like her when she was young.

    So so sorry for the traumatic experience. It is becoming so common that expectant mothers opinions, suggestions are ignored by these medics. They are there to support, encourage and work with you, not dictate or bully you into doing things that are not right. Why scan was not carried out when you got into hospital to know the position of the baby I will never know, a grave error! Mothers must be in control always not medic! It is their bodies.
    I am so glad that this experience has not put you off trying again as you have always wanted.
    Please, always squeeze in me-time for yourself, leave out any house work for now, when he sleeps, you sleep! I pray for strength, wisdom and health.
    You look amazing mama.

    I wonder why ultrasounds are not used to confirm position. Makes me mad they would not believe a first time mum knowing something is not right.....and the fact they accused yoy if not pushing well enough....most women are not fitness instructors!!

      that was one thing that upset me, i felt very weak and pathetic and when I knew his heart rate was dropping it really upset me plus being high off the gas and air. x

    Thanks so much for sharing your story. My husband and I need an egg donor due to premature ovarian failure as well (from Turner Syndrome) and your channel has really helped me through this process. My transfer is next month. Sorry your labor was so rough but I'm so glad you and your baby are some safe, it's keeping me hopeful.

    I was induced via hormone drip at uhcw due to my daughter pooping and my waters breaking... I was having 7 contractions in ten minutes.. & they wouldn’t turn my drip down. It’s awful how they don’t listen to patients sometimes 😓most painful experience but most rewarding experience ever!

    The pessary medicines to open cervix are used for medically induced miscarriages....7 of my 10 miscarriages were treated through this process, 3 times resulting in emergency D&C as well, for massive bleeds....one was life threatening. Umm, my one live birth was unplanned home birth, 43 miles from hospital, after 3 nights and 3 days labour....with no drugs, when I wanted a hospital drugged up birth.....it is always a surprise, what happens.

    Oh I'm so sorry you had such a horrendous birthing experience. Hospitals really do need to do ultrasounds to check baby's position. All through my pregnancy the Midwives kept saying that the baby's head was down on my last check up with my GP she said your baby is breech sent me up the hospital for a scan and there was no way that I could have delivered her naturally. I was so lucky that my GP spotted it. I ended up with a c section. I had the most horrendous aftercare and was stuck in a ward for 4 days. The experience made me have postnatal depression. They should offer all mothers counselling.
    I was put off having anymore children then 2 years later I went into POF anyway so I've only the one child.
    My daughter is now 15. 😊

    • @AmandaDawn87
      @AmandaDawn87  6 лет назад

      oh hun :( i can completely understand why this would of caused postnatal depression i really do. Its 5 days later now and they is the first day I haven't cried about it but I have had nightmares every night. I also dont want it to put me off having future children but I have decided it wont as I can go for an elective section which would go so much better as I wont be exhausted and wouldnt of been induced for 4 days straight. I am so sorry you had that experience xx

      Amanda Dawn I always said that if I ever got the chance to have another child I would go private. I love our NHS but the maternity side of it is so overstretched that we just don't get the right care. I really hope you can get over your birthing experience and can enjoy being a mummy. I think it will help you that you have this youtube as an outlet and have all of us subcriibers here to listen and give you support. Looking forward to lots of baby updates and more about how your getting on as a mummy. enjoy these first few weeks ..they go so quick. XXX
