As an NC native this is a dope interview. I can remember growing up seeing nothing but Hornets Starter gear in the streets. I had a Hornets cap and basketball hoop on the back of my bedroom door. They set the standard for what a pro sports franchise in NC should be for the Panthers and Hurricanes once they relocated to Raleigh from Hartford. A beast at UNLV and in the pros.

Shouts out to LJ and all the 90’s Hornets. My favorite player, got his bball cards, jerseys, shoes. The thing i like mostly about LJ was he made 95-98% of every shot he took, post up or otherwise regardless of who guarded him, he always adapted n got buckets. FUN FACT: If you watch Isaiah Rider college games you will notice he plays exactly like LJ but he’s a guard.
I'll never forget it living here in Vegas. My whole neighborhood came outside honking horns and cheering when unlv won the finals. Rebels had the whole city behind them.

I truly commend the hell out of the fact that Larry Johnson addressed the fact that he did not take the three-pointer in the final seconds of the National Semifinals against Duke in the 1991 Final Four. I am so glad that I am not the only one who saw that he passed up a wide open three-pointer.

Then after all his injuries he still was able to come in and give valuable minutes to the Celtics in 1986 and won another title. If you don't know basketball history then stay quiet and stop the Cap!

Growing in the nineties, LJ was both super talented and the bad boy of basketball, both in his career with the Charlotte Hornets and the Knicks !!
