Hi, Dave @ 1:59, what do you mean by the cord even on the sheath? I have a 2022 lynx. My 2014 summit I always did the groove in the belt in line with the top of the deal.
the cord on the side of the belt that should be in line with the top of the sheave, basically the bottom groove will be a bit higher, if it squeals or moves forward too tight
Deflection is what we are aiming for with a specific measurement to be more exact, however the ideal is you want your belt as tight as possible without the machine moving forward or screaching. Doing this will give you the best results. So move it even with the cord, if the machine creeps at idle then move it down touch, but at the cord it will be fine. And yes on all G4's not just the turbo. Happy Riding
same with starting point the bottom cog even with the sheaves, you can start there and adjust it a little higher, as long as the sled does not creep when idle. cheers dave
Thank you. I must've been lucky, just diagnosed qrs clutch rollers (or spring) need replacing Going through videos. Thanks for yours. That wrench is quite frustrating imo.
Thanks Dave, just did ours for the first time. Super easy, thanks to your video. Wish I started doing this stuff sooner.!
Glad it helped

Hey Dave, why are you adjusting slightly above? Is this only for the turbos or is this suggested for all the G4's now? Whats changed? Thx
My exact question

@@DaveNorona Thanks, I will give this a try on the weekend. I have always kept it level with the bottom of the valley.
@@averagesledder5620 its a great start but you can move it up a bit, cheers dave
You want it just above with the 850 and even with the 600 according to the book.
Is it the same for 600 engines or diffrent than the 850?

Why use the spanner wrench when you can just loosen and adjust by hand?
When its been on it is not easy to just spin by hand. Thanks
Thank you.
