I dunno about that, vocal performance is bit off and also it gets quite noisy when they play all together. It was also quite disappointing that they used a drum machine to create that bongo pattern. I think they nailed the previous songs although.
This is how all interviewers should be..... informed, researched and well spoken.
I still think it's sick how they manage to bring this sound "live"

my daughter ( 4 years old) and I are absolutely obsessed with infected mushroom she's always humming their tunes and is always asking me to play that song lol I'm currently expecting another kid and I'm gonna get him hooked on infected mushroom too they are just soo damn rich in sound and quality and it makes us very happy!!! Some of these are better than the album versions.
Kirk Russell Saeed in particular. In my opinion their best track of any album. So glad they decided to include that in this mix.

10:10 just listening to the album, i would have never guessed most of this synth work was/could be played live and is not just all sequenced .. blows my mind
Funny thing, at 11:22 Erez looks away to his left while still playing
they are sequenced 100% but by pretty small pieces he still needs to trigger, it is still an amazing an difficult task to remember where is everything. There are tiny things not sampled such as bass presets and other leads but when he plays those nothing else is on the way or is programmed either on the right side or on the first keys.
Watch them live in concert and you'll be blown away!
@@AlexIsiv Lol not 100% no. It's not mostly played either. It's a good mix of both and one awesome performance. You can see him playing the notes and hearing those same notes played all over. Of course the guitar is chugging away in the background too. Some of the patches will trigger sequences, small sequences that vary from the note or the longer sections that aren't much more than sequenced knob control over it or a looped hit and various stuff. Keyboard has a couple zones on it. Some might look like it's sequenced, but he's playing chords that run through some kind of gapper/volume shaper, so his fingers don't match with the rhythm you hear, but the notes definitely do because you can see and hear it. Oh, and Erez does some wild and wacky things with his mod wheel. Very few electronic artists can tie together different settings to get the expressiveness or sound changes he can get with it. It's awesome.

Been listening to these guys since Classical Mushroom. My fave band on the planet. Albums are awesome and they are amazing live. I prefer the older (Classical, BP, Converting) albums over their newer stuff, but can appreciate their new stuff too.

i remember hearing the name Infected Mushroom, but don't remember any of the tunes.
i looked them up when i was getting back into trance... this is the only group who i have actually listened to entire albums of and enjoyed!
My favorite live act. Seen infected mushroom live last year with not knowing much of their music left my favorite show of all time.

I talked to Erez and had the same experience. I was blown away. He’s been doing this for 27 years and he was talking like they are some brand new band trying to get off the ground and told me he was so grateful that people actually want to listen to their music lol.
So nice. And he wasn’t feeling shy because he smoked two blunts during the show 😂 He jumped off stage after the show and talked to literally EVERY single person that didn’t leave immediately.

I just met Erez Eisen after a show in Eugene Oregon, USA. It was fuckin' awesome. It blew my mind. This group is the leader in electronic music. They are the best.

We were lucky enough to catch a few of their shows a few years back in Winnipeg. The venues were fairly small but full. They were some of the best parties ever. I'm glad to see them flourish and succeed.
Come down to Minneapolis if you get the chance to see em. Seen em live at skyway theater last October and was the best live show i ever seen.

sooooo amazing on every instrument including the vocals... like... nobody knows how hard this is until you play it and trust me... its not easy to improvise transitions or riffs on the spot unless you feel the music and not just hear it

They are the best and they always will be! Making great EDM music since 1998, i m a fan since that time, and their evolution was mind blowing and remarkble! keep on going! Portugal has you in our hearts and souls!
I've been a huge fan since 99 and I love death metal and I love that they have an actual guitar player and I got to see them twice live here in Atlanta, they didn't have the full band but it was awesome

It's interesting that they don't really show Erez, and he has no place in the interview. Just his hands sometimes, and he's the creative force that carries this group musically. The camera focuses mainly on Duvdev and the guest guitarist and drummer (even when they're not doing anything). Maybe his personality just doesn't engage their audience as much as his music does, so they play to each other's strengths...That or he just doesn't want publicity.
He's a very shy guy. He doesn't mind that Duvdev brings the energy.

@@Teolaw9 I think all three of their main albums are great. Personally I find In Silico is the most consistant, but also try Hold Your Colour and Immersion.

By the way, I got "infected" around 16 years ago when I was in high school. Their music changed my life in a very good way. It was a spiritual perceptual change that played a significant role in shaping who I am. Of course they weren't the only band that had such an impact on me, there were plenty more from very different genres. As Amit said,music does indeed change the world.

I first heard of infected mushrooms on Monstercat an EDM channel that promotes artist and i was not disappointed in doing a little digging and finding this gem.
Mad props to the keyboard player and drumer enjoyed himself.

Infected are a one of a kind from the early 2000 dance era, I grew up on rave genres from 1989, loved every single one, DNB, TRANCE, HARDCORE, TECHNO and HIPHOP. , my Staffie dogs and music has given me the most loves of my life!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

It was so incredible to see these guys not once but twice. I doubt they'll ever tour live shows in the US again but man I'd buy up tickets in a heartbeat if they did.
