In correlation with the release of The Dark Crystal a clothing collection was made. Several of the artists involved in the fabrication of the film's puppets and costumes went on to collaborate on a collection of garments inspired by the film.
The Jim Henson Company has remained an established leader in family entertainment for over 50 years and is recognized worldwide as an innovator in puppetry, animatronics and digital animation. This channel features popular children's shows including Fraggle Rock, Pajanimals, Dinosaur Train, Sid the Science Kid and more!

A wonderfull and rare documentary. As a child i found this big book in the library containing many of the drawings made by Froud for the film.
These inspired me to make similar drawings untill today. :-) Thank you all for creating such movies / series and thank you very much for uploading this.
I hope you will continue to create and inspire many generations to come.

Actually, that's what a lot of 80's "high fashion" looked like... it was a weird time.
@Johnlindsey289 Yeah, James Cameron was a huge fan of Jim Henson's works. Come to think of it, many of Hollywood's biggest producer's and directors thought Jim Henson was pure genius that could never be duplicated again.
Dang life would be amazing if everyone dressed so fantasy-inspired.

It´s still there,is terribly expensive,over 1 million dollars !
It was around $20,000

There were more costumes than the ones showed here and they were gorgeous and very expensive (so I heard on Henson´s oficial site )

Lol people in the comments obviously never look at high end fashion ( more like art than clothing) shows,
I would just LOVE to have an actual urRu (Mystic) costume. That would rock so hard! I would be in the streets going for walks and stuff in it. Or making sand paintings at a park.

i used to watch this when i was a little kid, shit was weird...
I love everything about this movie - the characters, the music, the sets - and I have never been more inspired by anything than this movie. Only a huge amount of talent could create such a wonderful world:)
