Overlanding and Free Camping Near National Parks! Lakes, Fishing, Horseback Riding and a Spa!

In this week's video, we introduce you to more free camping near National Parks! We love Wyoming overlanding in our 2022 F150 Ford Tremor rig. While exploring Yellowstone and Grand Tetons National Parks, we found this gem for free camping and had to share it with our RUclips Community Brooks Lake is located in the stunning Wind River Range in Northwest Wyoming. With views of Pinnacle Buttes, Brooks Mountain.and Austin's Peak, Brooks Lake sits at 9200 feet elevation. In the Shonshone National Forest, visitors can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, wildlife and fishing. Historic Brooks Lake Lodge and Spa, a remote luxury resort is located nearby. This area is open year round for snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing! The trail to Brooks Lake is graveled and any vehicle can access it. We took a 4x4 high clearance trail out and end up at Wind River Lake, another majestic area where you can camp for free!

I'm planning my first overlanding trip. Any advice from experienced travelers?

Keep it simple. Just go for a weekend dont try a super long trip. Try to research where you're going. Don't bite off more than your vehicle can handle. Make sure you have full tank before starting a trail. Have a way to communicate to the outside world if something happens. And most importantly enjoy!!!
