This home takes my breath away! I adore the imperfections and the beautiful quality of light reflected in the thoughtfully chosen materials. It's the antithesis of the IG cookie cutter homes that while beautiful are so tiresome. Exquisite perfection!
I'm so in love with this. The patina in every room is absolutely stunning. What an absolute dream it must be to wake up to this beautiful home. It's decor is made to compliment and respect the beauty and age of this building. I'm at awe!
Not for me the raw walls, but the overall effect and the respect for the building and its history is very impressive. The quality of the light coming through the windows and falling on the various surfaces is very moving.
In Mexico we love Italian style as well as Spanish and houses look nice and fit perfectly, we can build our houses with the style that warm our souls, blessing!! 🙏🙏🙏
Amazing to witness your collaboration with this building. I love your process of pealing back the layers to get to the soul of the space and celebrate its history while also bringing it into the present. Gorgeous!
The post-renovation transformation in your home aligns perfectly with my vision of the ideal home. Being able to witness the essence of divine timing in real-time serves as a powerful confirmation of my own aspirations. I appreciate that you can enjoy this home in a multi-purposeful and grand manner.
Stunning❤this kind of design is understood and appreciated if you understand the aging process of a building. It’s not for everyone… remember design is a very personal choice. ❤
Many congratulations, Ms. Gardner! Young and successful, and creating your dreams. 💐💐💐 I appreciate that so much, seemingly, as much as was possible to preserve, was preserved. It is so large and open, elegant, and yet it has a homey, comforting feeling. As Ms. Gardner explains her renovation and creation of the larder, we see how much thought went into every choice to create this beautiful home. Although here, the work proceeded with an eye toward preservation, Ms. Gardner’s vision and her confidence in creating this space put me in mind of the designer, John Saladino. I remember seeing photos of his NYC apartment back in the 1980s. He treated the walls to recreate the look of Italian villa or palazzo. A quote from Saladino: "I believe our surroundings have a profound effect on us. At their most sublime, they can take us out of this world, and give us what I call moments of transcendence." Love this unique and beautiful dream brought to reality. You just knew that anybody who had that sweet doggie would put a lot of heart into their work.
Other-wordly! Never would have guessed this was anywhere in the United States. It was her American accent they gave it away. I'm still in shock. Very beautifully and thoughtfully appointed. Great job.
This house has good bones! I can see why you have chosen to put a significant amount of time and resources into developing it. I wish you the best results as you work to complete your dream.
To me its appearance was a work in progress. They seemed to be completing it as the resources become available. Notice the wall patching and finishing in a preliminary state of completion. I got the impression this person was too detailed to leave it that way?@@mrvk39
I don’t get how leaving the walls dingy and unfinished instead of painting it respects the age/originality of the home! Because you made such beauuuutiful additions otherwise so can you explain a bit more the reasoning behind that? Beautiful home and concept of a work/home space 💕
Individual taste of the owner, I suppose… and when it comes to architect owners, it depends on their influences and education in regard to their developed taste.
sounds fake to me.... like they really want to live in Tuscany in an old mansion but are in the US so they found this house that kind of maybe looks like that Tuscan villa, so they "renovated" it to look old and rundown...
One of the most beautiful homes ever. For those that don’t “get it”, let go a bit and appreciate personal beauty in space and heart. Not everything needs to be understood.
Beautiful house which has great bones for sure. The furnishings, stones and appliances are perfect. I am not a fan however of the broken millwork, unfinished and cracked spot-plastered walls. That's the first thing that catches the eye and it takes away from the beautiful treatments that you've added. It just basically looks dirty. Too bad. As you know, you can easily achieve the hand plastered walls and old millwork and still have the aged, but clean and finished look.
this entire house is introducing me to perfection, with honours and glories (that i don't just yet deserve though... hopefully some day not too far 🙏🏽).
If this was some Italian villa that was restored with old fireplaces and frescos that were partially preserved, I would've liked it. But, creating an illusion of frescos preserved and leaving the space as "half-renovated" feels fake to me. It's like someone really wants to live in Venice or some country home in Tuscany but is stuck in Minneapolis so they play-pretend.
This house is the same vintage as my mother. I love the history, the windows and the light. Such a lot of space to work with. The new changes do look like they have always been there. Minneapolis gets extremely cold. The lowest temperature ever recorded in Minneapolis, Minnesota was -34 °F .That would affect the house a lot. I wonder how she keeps it warm? I saw no curtains or rugs. No discussion around insulation. Not a place to keep pet chickens….in that tiny cage…… Lowest Minneapolis temperatures in recent years Min °F Date Min °C -17 January 07, 2022 -27 -19 February 14, 2021 -28 -12 February 14, 2020 -24 -28 January 30, 2019 -33
The building itself is amazing - at first I thought it was in Italy, lol. However, I'm not really understanding why the walls were left unfinished...I guess I'm not that trendy.
Raw walls and worn spaces is not appreciating its heritage. The walls need to be restored to its former glory..that’s how you respect its history. The house looks like an abandoned house.
GREAT HOUSE!!! It's like a Federal, Georgian,Greek, Italianate Victorian all rolled into one!! Wondering if it was a 'commericial/or business ' building when it was first built & renovated as time passed

This is simply divine…
The neutral, soft colors…
The light that washes over all of the neutral palette just makes it glow. Just sublime.
This is such a special space! Gives a lot of inspiration for restoration and appreciating heritage while still making something unique and modernized.

Me too.. so different from what we usually see from this channel as well as others.
Not for me the raw walls, but the overall effect and the respect for the building and its history is very impressive. The quality of the light coming through the windows and falling on the various surfaces is very moving.
Interesting..... my favorite thing is the raw walls and the contrast between its imperfection with the very perfect herringbone wood floors.
In Mexico we love Italian style as well as Spanish and houses look nice and fit perfectly, we can build our houses with the style that warm our souls, blessing!! 🙏🙏🙏

I love this place. The visible age of it is beautiful, and the materials and colours work so well together!
I'm simply blown away!
I adore the aesthetics of the house. Every single detail is executed masterfully.😍
What an absolutely beautiful property and space! Thank you so much for the tour and Liz Gardner's guidance through the space.
now that's stunning
This building exudes warmth, light, history and soul.... it has a beautiful story to tell. What an absolute delight.

Adoro questa ristrutturazione. Adoro lo stile. Tra le cose piu belle che abbia mai visto!
The property is the visual equivalent of all the vocal-fry and up-speak. It's lovely, you're lovely - stop trying so hard!
So light and spacious. Really liked the style of building and that is was a mix of a few rather than a single defined style. Enjoy your lovely home!
Many congratulations, Ms. Gardner! Young and successful, and creating your dreams. 💐💐💐

stunning, beautiful taste and i love that the walls are not perfect, she has real vision
yay minneapolis!! this was surprising and delightful!
This is absolutely gorgeous
In love with this project
Beautiful, elegant, vintage 💗
This is exceptionally beautiful. Very inspiring and soothing at the same time.
I am in awe of this place. Extraordinary job.
Just beautiful!!!!
Other-wordly! Never would have guessed this was anywhere in the United States. It was her American accent they gave it away. I'm still in shock. Very beautifully and thoughtfully appointed. Great job.
I love the plaster stories. Keeping raw, unfinished is brilliant.
So stunning, indoors and outdoors...
Beautiful restoration....
This definitely one of my favorite houses yet! Love it!
Glad you like it!
This is exciting since I live near Minneapolis... and actually formerly lived on the same street
Just beautiful!
This house has good bones! I can see why you have chosen to put a significant amount of time and resources into developing it. I wish you the best results as you work to complete your dream.
i got a sense that this is the final product of their renovation/deconstruction....am i wrong?
To me its appearance was a work in progress. They seemed to be completing it as the resources become available. Notice the wall patching and finishing in a preliminary state of completion. I got the impression this person was too detailed to leave it that way?@@mrvk39
Love it!
Absolutely dreamy! 😮
It really is!
I’m intrigued, its a home with its own DNA
Wabi Sabi. Nice! Thoughtful design 😊

Amazing!!! This project easily on my top 5.
Beautifully done 👏

She probably loves the texture, and unique pattern of leaving the walls how they were ❤
Did anyone else notice there wasn’t a scene of a bathroom?
sounds fake to me.... like they really want to live in Tuscany in an old mansion but are in the US so they found this house that kind of maybe looks like that Tuscan villa, so they "renovated" it to look old and rundown...
Wabi Sabi but done purposefully is probably more contrived.
One of your best videos yet.
Beautiful space, beautiful people :,)
Stunning!!!
I love this building so very much.
Wonderful ❤
I love this!!
One of the most beautiful homes ever. For those that don’t “get it”, let go a bit and appreciate personal beauty in space and heart. Not everything needs to be understood.
Much respect!!!
Renovations: kitchen and staging. Good job.
Magnifique 👍🏻 🎉
This is beautiful.

What an incredible project! Your bold approach will pay dividends!
This is so amazing, really dream-like ! That is also what I want for myself - A perfect living-work work space
I lived in loring heights many years ago and loved it!
LOVE IT
Such a calming voice
Love this house.
I love it ❤❤❤

Xcellent combination of sensibilities

perfection
It's just perfect.....
Love it all. I'd love to live there 👍
How did you deal with the lead based paint hazards leaving unfunished walls and surfaces etc?

too classic for me!!
I love what she did with the space???
Very cool.
Nice house...😊😊😊
великолепная фурнитура мебель материалы.
легкая пошарпанность только добавляет изысканности интерьеру.
VOCAL FRY ON 100
This is a dream
Beautiful! Piscis in London??
The building itself is amazing - at first I thought it was in Italy, lol. However, I'm not really understanding why the walls were left unfinished...I guess I'm not that trendy.
Congratulations on having your place where you can create lasting memories and find solace. 😉✨
Love the overall planning and palette, but the patina looks very contrived and artificial.

What camera lenses do you guys use?

Lovely
G o r g e o u s ✨⭐️🌟💫
❤
Vocal fry and up-speak detracts from this video.
1:17 ♥
Had to turn down the volume because the vocal fry is bothersome
🥰🥰🥰
I don't like the unfinished walls look at all. However, the materials used are lovely.
"unfinished"
Ugh. On a cold, grey Minnesota winter day, this ghastly folly is as welcoming as a mausoleum.
Had to mute. Her voice!
Definitely a gorgeous home. The interview really took away from the beauty of the overall idea. Very stonerish.
liz you have excellent taste
Feels like you're experiencing the house over time like a ghost..
