Nice video. Lovely sound of the distinctive RE. Front interior and cab area looks very similar to my RE - ex Crosville CRG163 - EFM163H. Thanks for sharing.
Would yours have featured on the cover of one of the bus magazines years ago? Very interesting article, which I'll dig out and re-read - if I can find! I've loved RE's ever since travelling as a child from Yorkshire to London on United's - and spent many happy hours imitating those melodious transmission sounds whilst riding my bike! If I've got the right person, then I remember you calling in at it's old Crossville depot - a nice touch.
@@crg163 Thank you for your reply. An excellent article in which your enthusiasm for EFM163H was clearly obvious. Is she in running order nowadays? I've long thought the RELH/ECW mk1 the most perfectly balanced design. exuding an air of friendly, reassuring power, whilst wrapping it's passengers in it's superbly comfortable seats, as it works it's way up through the gears, each with it's own symphony of sounds until clicking into the contented whine of 5th. You're very lucky to own her!
@@robertp.wainman4094 truly lovely vehicles in all sense. Unfortunately I’ve not done anything with 163 for a number of years due to family and work commitments and issues around facilities. However I was hoping to re-engage last March with my children but Covid hit unfortunately and subsequently I’ve been unable to do anything. Once Covid passes it is my intention to get her back on the road.
Remember these great buses in South Wales this old girl roamed the valleys for years
Such a melodious transmission!
Love the noise!!!
Sweet! Home of Levellers'Day. Thank-you!

Is she 5 speed or 4?
