Is anyone going solo? I'm really considering coming, I'm just a bit unsure with all the evenings free what to do with myself if everyone is going in groups..? Thoughts anyone?

Monopoly is an American board game created by Lizzie Maggie in 1903. The original version of the game, in this format, was based on the streets of Atlantic City, New Jersey. Parker Brothers (the then owners) began licensing of the board game outside the United States in 1936.
The board keeps the same layout, but the names of streets and things change to suit different places or interests. The latest ones I've seen are Christmas Hallmark Movie Monopoly and Christmas Monopoly. In the US, many Walmarts carry the game based on the city they are located in. The pieces also change with the themes. Take care!!

I love Scotland. The last time I visited Edinburgh it was so easy to do everything. I caught a bus from the airport to the Information Centre and they organized everything for me on the spot. They arranged accommodation, provided me with map and brochures on sights to see and which bus to catch to my accommodation. All of this in just minutes, so impressive. Days later I went to Wick and caught the ferry from Lands End to Orkney which is where my ancestors came from. The people in Scotland were so friendly and helpful and the sights were amazing, especially the Stone Age settlements. I definitely want to go back and visit again and also see the places in England I didn't get to see last time. Have a great time guys, I know you'll love it.

OMG your other channel is AMAZING! I can’t believe I completely missed it before (guess I should listen more 😂). You should consider listing it in the ‘other channels’ tab for other flakes like me that multitask and don’t fully pay attention all the time.
I spent three weeks in Scotland years ago and had a blast . I stayed in Glassgow, Edinburgh and also drove into the moors to Inverness up to the isl of sky. Didn't see Nessy at lock Ness. 😕
I'm looking forward to seeing all the footage from the Scotland trip. I'm sure it's going to be a lot of fun!

"Prilliant" idea to play life-size Monopoly! It is SOOOO good to see you two together and posting. The trip you've planned in Scotland sounds just amazing; wish I could join you. Planning to go in 2024 when my cousin is awarded her doctorate from U of Edinburgh. Closest I'll get in 2023 is Ireland for 14 days in October. Know you and your American group will have a stunning time with Trova.

My dad would have loved live monopoly. He loved the game, he always won. My son loves it as well, he always wins too. He has several versions. It was made in the United States first. The states has places from here. Each country has their own places on their version.

I just watched a Katina eats kilos challenge from Wales. The challenge that she took on was “Watch Joel and Leah on RUclips” because they have been the fastest male/female to eat it (and got to name it). I was like oh my gosh! I had to look it up and to my surprise there’s another Joel and Leah duo (Leah is spelled differently) that aren’t you two Brits. Happy New Year!

Fun vid guys! It’s so weird though, I was in NYC over the weekend, and I had a cinnamon social at one of the Ole and Steen locations! Also shared a strawberry tart (yum), and one of those overpriced sandwiches! 😂 I also passed a “Joe and the Juice” and thought, there’s my place! 🙂 And I’m so bummed I can’t make the Scotland trip because of a previously planned vacation, so please plan another one if you can! ❤️ you guys!

hey guys, this was fun! I would love to go on the trip to Scotland ......I know you all will have a great time! My family members and I used to play Monopoly for literally hours especially in summer and if the weather was bad. Great game!

Monopoly is world-wide. In Australia they have different versions for different cities. They even have a version for Holden cars.
I see others have informed you that Monopoly is an American game designed in the early 20th century and later licensed to companies outside the US .. The UK version first appeared after 1936 .. Parker Bros published it for many years before Hasbro bought the company

oh we have a life-sized monopoly in San Jose (Silicon valley). I've never actually seen someone play it in real life, but have seen pictures. But yeah it's in a park in downtown, apparently you can contact The City and get the monopoly pieces. lol 🙂

The Scotland trip sounds amazing, but there's no way my job will let me have time off in May. I miss London though--I might go and stay there for a month from mid-July to mid-August.

OMG, that cinnamon social thingy looked INCREDIBLE!!! Was there meat in the middle? I want!! And just for clarification, did I misunderstand about those bagels? They looked like hamburger buns with sesame seeds on them. I'm in the USA and our bagels are much denser and have holes in the middle of them. Are they different in the UK?
About the challenges, I think there were too many that were getting dangerous and there were some deaths, especially with youth.
That extra, extra cropped top Lia was looking at is meant to be worn OVER a sports bra (or even a tank if you don't go for just sports bras.)! LOL It would totally look wonderful on Lia when she works out. She'll have to go back.

I use to play monopoly all the time with the family. But Ive never played a life size monopoly before.
I wish I could fly Id join you legends in Scotland if I could but medical reasons make it so I cannot fly. :(
One reason challenges died out was that some of them were dangerous or risky, especially for children, and some people got hurt doing them.
Monopoly a little lady made the game she got robbed to the people who have said the moment there is a big lawsuit for 80 or 90 years in USA . It’s at the courts for all these years. One of the longest lawsuit on any game. 1938 ish this old lady made this whole game at home and try to sell it.
