@morigane50 ... THIS! I think what's always been appealing about Will, to Magnus, is that he's Watson without that jadedness that all member of the Five eventually suffered. Most importantly in terms of their friendship is that, every time he challenges or questions her, it's borne out of his absolute affection and respect for her (it always sounds like "we both know you're better than this" when he does). He doesn't do it to be mean or needle her, he does it because it's what friends DO
@kattierowe Totally agreed with you, There is such a general bad faith from certain fans towards Will that I wonder sometimes if we watch the same show. For me Will has been the best supportive friend for Helen , which implies that he has the right to question her methods , this is what makes the character one of the most interesting of the show . he is totally different from Tesla and Druitt , because he is simply very human with a sensitivity that the two other lost a long time ago.
0:15 is from "For King and Country" in season 3 when Will and Magnus are arguing about Adam Worth unless you mean the clip right before that (which is also on 0:15 for a moment) which is from "The Depths" in season 4
