Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

'Oblivion' is exactly what it is~
It very much so behaves like a giant sabot round. A sabot round is usually launched by a tank and is a giant needle that contains no explosives and is entirely kinetic. Sabots have the ability to punch through metal with little resistance due to the very small point of contact
That feeling when your bracing to avoid losing your cannon works better than expected at 36:07
Upgrading that cannon will just launch your core into another map.

Pepsi Man Its not, in fact the indefinite upgrades mod only allows you to upgrade 64 times, and many of those cannot even be made. Forts, even with infinite energy or metal, will not be able to spend more than 99,999 of either resource.

@@thetimehascome1958 I believe it's a vanilla options toggle now, though it is a more recent addition.
I love how in the first match he stays til the end instead of just switching over to the next round.
12:18 first time the cannon fires however it is underwhelming.
Who needs atom cannons when you can just make the whole base fly away.
Also, I think this cannon counters adamantium, since it'll tear out the piece of armour instead of destroying it.
probably... but if adamantium is used as a long single grounded wall even this cant break through.

@@sociopath9666 Won't the whole base experience a creater recoil from the shell if the whole thing absorbs it?
Actually, if the BFC shot is detected as a cannon shot, the adamantium will bounce the cannon shot, as stated in its ingame descripstion.
@@widyantokurniawan9863 i'm afraid your wrong good sir. I agree that that should happen but it doesn't for some odd reason. I was testing with it today and even with an almost completely Adamantium base the shot makes the Adamantium bend over so far that even though the base doesn't break the core is swung into the ground.

14:14 actually the BFC V2 can take 3 hits from itself, do you guys think this is balanced or not? (considering the astronomical cost to maintain it)
It's easyer to take a BFC V2 out by shooting the structure above or under it.

@@jonasjohnson6392 It takes a while to repair, it's basically who can shoot the other one faster, it's not a OHKO but an endurance match.
@@jonasjohnson6392 I feel from watching that if you made something that could die that easy cost that much to build both in time and rez then there would be no point to building for that win condition. You are making a heavy investment and dedicating your base completely to that cannon it needs some serviceability. I however do not think 8 is a good number either that escalates it's threat potential too high and makes it basically a required build. Where it's at should be acceptable assuming repair on it is almost as expensive as building it fresh. The point of improvement I would suggest would be to either make the recoil so that it is *slightly* lower to better accommodate the building mats or have a building mat that comes with the mod for the cannon though for less headache I would recommend tuning for existing mats rather then crunching the numbers to balance the addition of another mat to the game.

I love these longer videos. They let me watch something for both of my breaks at work. Only thing that sucks is that I go to work at 6am cst. That also happens to be the time incursus uploads lol.

It might actually be more effective against adamantium. The slowmos show that a lot of the damage is just blunt force trauma ripping bracing apart. It is possible that with the front bracing not getting vaporized it will just give the cannon more to push against.

I always use well defended with BFC so that the recoil doesn’t do much damage, like incursus said at the end

One way you might be able to mitigate the recoil damage is to brace it with ropes to terrain. That’s how they did it on boats back in the day

Hey man I love your vids sucks that I don't have the game but it looks very fun
Its a massive railgun... cheeky plays every time you shot but the cannon blew up yet you still killed or done massive damage.

That second enemy had a nice setup, lots of fast repairing and energy shields and doors.
Shame the BFG doesn't damage, it annihilates. There's nothing left to repair.

It appears as though the cannon round collides with the cannon's goofy-ass hitbox, causing you to have a limited number of shots. Glitch or Mechanic, I like it. Sort of decreases the insanity unless you know about it happening
I feel like that tall base would have benefitted from some ropes reenforcing the middle from the top.
Me and a couple friends were messing with this mod on the battleships map and we made it into a tier 3
