Josh from auto torque really is an unsung hero. Such a humble guy but yets created one the UKs best ever builds I've ever seen. Absolute love this integra and all content that comes with it
its the powerband that makes engine great - of course thats the design of the internal. if you compare this to the s2000 engine, the s2000 is smoother. smoother meaning its more durable. you can have modify s2000 engine to take 14k that can handle it because it has less vibration than k series. the k series has better powerband ( broadpower) so therefore its better for racing.. you cant make k series to handle 14k rpm without blowing it up. so if you limit the k series under 14k, its as durable as f20c or f22 ( s2000) engine and have more power with lower rpm. i always thought if honda developed inline 6 with the same form of the k series engine but i dont know if it share the same character. each small changes make the engine completely different. just like other version of k series is completely from one another. you look at the orginal nsx engine. its great stock engine. once you start to modify it to get more power, you lose the performance power per time on track. also, its not as durable of an engine too. it breaks down fast. if you leave it stock, its so durable. the new civic although being k series family its a whole new breed. its made for turbo. its a really good engine. although, its not a high revving like the older gen k series. they did one thing right, they move the powerband from top to mid. this is what make your car get faster time on track. on corner, the car speed plus rpm makes the car heavy. when you put its peek power there, it will pull hard off the corner. to demostrate this on other car, one of the toyota tundra compare to other v8 turbo or v10 diesel have more power than tundra. toyora knew that street driving and pulling is between low end and mid range. so toyota have this weird gearing that is not an actual gear. it shift like a gear but it keep the car in the torque powerband. so when you tow a load it actually accelerate faster and have higher speed than other v8 turbo or v10 that has more power. those other engine they put the power on high end which once there's load the rpm stay on mid power which is the least efficient powerband its in.
@@BlueRice I had an ep3 for 6 years when I was only 19 and paid 7500 for it with only 25k on an 05 plate. This was 2011, had a hondata ecu fitted, straight pipe exhaust which was ridiculously loud and a low to ground air filter. Managed to squeeze 237bhp from it. Months later hit a puddle on a dark wet winter morning and sucked up water and blew the engine to dozens of pieces. Got a new forged block, cos worth Con rods and pistons and Brian crowed titanium valves, springs and retainers fitted to the head with a cosworth head gasket, ARP head bolts, a sidewinder manifold and a bog Warner EFR twin scroll turbo and screamer pipe coming out the left wing😂 made 420 bhp on 14 psi at the wheels and only went further from there. Apparently the six speed gearbox maxes out at 177 with a redline of 8950… so I’ve heard 🤦♂️ loved that car, wish I never sold it but it wasn’t fit for purpose when the ex ended up preggers
@@HenrickLarsson7 friend had similar build. With Brian and crower cam. He made 242hp on eg with yellow Lamborghini paint, wire tuck engine bay and weight reduction interior. The car was so fast and fun. I have a small portion video of it on my other RUclips account. The paint itself cost 7k.

B series and k series at most it can handle is 11k but they limit it to 10k to be safe. while pushing to 11k wouldnt accelerate any faster anyways. if you compare F20C and F22. the F20c is actually better in term of powerband. it was already shown that if you used shorter gear with ap2 suspension on f20c its a lot faster than F22 with shorter gear and same suspension. even though F22 had lower end torque. thats because the F20 stay in power longer. most of the time you want broader power. in this case, the less broader power wins because its stay on higher power longer and the gear match most race track. this was tested by real professional racer. then again i never said F series is better. k series is better overall

Well, if your goal is 1000hp, obviesly you have to put revs on that, k20s are capable of 10.000 revs or more but the oil manegement, colling manegement and the electronics have to be realy realy good, but those guys know how to built a beast, so good luck, cant wait to see the results 🙏👍🔥
