Ignore BG , you can use S9018 + S9011 + S9012 (or C9018 + C9011 + C9012)

Aircraft band is AM not FM..
Also easier to use one of those cheap PCB online services that will professionally create your PCBs

Hi schmitmc , I'm sure it works , the same circuit, as you can see the elements are the same, I just had no chance to shoot it when they ware talking, I promise 😊
Another reason is the earphone , it‘s hard to recode clear sound from earphone ,though you can hear the sound clearly by wearing the earphone 😊

Hi Greg Jones, It's not possible to listen to the Shanghi Pudong in US , but you can listen to your local airport or FM Radio😊

You can use S9018 or any HF transistors e.g BF 199 etc. mate
Can I use 9018 instead of 9011 and 9012
I was looking at the schematic and the value for L1 is missing. I assume that's where an antenna would go but I could be wrong. I definitely want to build this. Also, can I use 2n2222's or 2n3904s instead?
Hi ,James Lear , NO ANTENNA NEEDED (keep in mind), L1 is an inductor , and I don't know if you can use 2n2222's or 2n3904 instead, but the schematic is well tested 😊, you can use the components which the schematic labelled, Regards
and you can ignore C2 , C3 and K1
@@diyshow888 I know L1 is an inductor, I mean I don't see a value for it. L2 is labeled as 10uH. Is that the same value for L1? Also in my case our airport is about 10 miles from here so I will need an antenna I am pretty sure since it's a small airport. I will however try it without one first. Thank you.
Hi ,James Lear, L1 is necessary , there is no specific value for L1 , but the wire diameter is 1.0 mm , inner diameter is 10mm(1cm) , 2 turns , and you may adjust the space between when test , L2 is finished product , ANT is not needed , but if you want, you can use soft wire (3m ~ 5m) ,connect the one end to L1 (but do NOT contact it for real, do not connect the copper wire ,keep the wrapper of the wire ) , and the another end point to the airport direction , 10 miles is in the effective range I think 😊
The end where the radio is working is different than the one shown built.

Hi Jaware Vijay , you can receive communication of approach tower near by the airport, you can also receive normal FM programme 87~108MHz(normal FM) 118-135.975 MHz (aircraft )
