Imagine being the artists and doing this though, as LiSA said, she was touched. It must be such a new way for most of them to preform. It's really raw and pure and they can just come on and give everything and have so much more freedom with things. It would be such a emotional thing specially with songs like this that hold so much emotion in them and the meaning. I still think LiSA is one of the greatest sings in the world but that list grows every day.
LiSA is such a talented woman. I can recognize her voice no matter the song. Loved her when she did Crossing Field for SAO and I will continue to enjoy her music.

Japanese is very expressive even in general conversation in public, so many variation of expression in music is something to be expected. also some words consist of so many characters that are sounding so different than alphabet to fit in bars that makes japanese songs are so expressive in chord progression and melodies. it's so impressive.
When she screams it's not when the word 'scream' was being sang, becuase scream in Japanese is 悲鳴 (Himei), and what she scream was かぜ ふく(Kaze Fuku) which means cold, hope this clear it
kaze can mean a cold; as in the illness. But kaze is also wind. In this context kaze fuku means breath. Kaze is wind and fuku is to blow. Himei no kaze fuku could be translated to the breath of a scream, or screaming breath, or however it would make the most sense in English.
Actually you're complete incorrect. It IS the first take in the studio, if they mess it up, there are no redos. The artist is brought in, they sing their one song once on that stage, then they're done. It's one of the reasons why so many of them comment on being nervous and in the KANA-BOON's Naimononedari video Taniguchi forgets where to start singing. They might rehearse beforehand, but not on the stage.

The channel is basically a challenge to sing in 1 take.

The First Take is a name of youtube channel that invites all kinds of singers, gives them a single mic and single change to sing their song. Many make different arrangements for this performance, like Lisa here using piano only. There were even singer who came to First Take to sing over decade old songs. Some did fail with their lyrics or rhythm, too. This was sung some time after the song aired. The fact remains that this was her one and only chance. If she makes mistakes, it stays there

Her control of voice types, distortion, switches etc seriously nobody can compete with her raw. Professional through and through, with absolute skill and total control over her instrument. Truly insane what she's doing with her voice that sounds so natural and fluid.
The Spot where you say the huge switch up at 10:07, she is annunciating the word happiness so she is going lighter in tone and pitch to represent "Happiness" which is actually something i missed until you pointed out the huge difference in style

im just here to drop a comment for people who may not know The First Take's Channel. they record some of the most popular songs of the guest singer/artist in just ONE take. no do-overs. the best example for that is Maguro-san and Mossa's duo cover of Naimononedari featured on the channel where before the 2nd chorus they forgot to sing and at the end of the recording the two of them even apologized.(the clapping guy meme is a bonus though) xD

I think the "First Take" title is a little misleading. It's not their very first take of the song ever - it's that they have to sing the whole song in the "first take" for this RUclips series ♪ So any mistakes made are getting published in that video, but it's mostly to showcase these amazing artists and their ability to sing without the studio polish ♫

If you listen/watching until the end, you'll know she explain her feeling while she sang the song. That is what you missed to understand about LiSA.
