This is one of your recordings I keep coming back to time & time again John. I live very close to this area & it's often the gateway to many other rides & drives I do up into the dale so it's an area I know well. However the drone footage adds a totally new perspective to the area & brings all those little paths (legal & otherwise) into life along with the topography too - which a map doesn't often do justice too. Its a truly stunning area & I feel very fortunate to be able to regularly enjoy it but this drone footage - along with all of your other footage - really does enhance it even more for me. Thanks again for posting this up, I'm sure I'll be viewing it again soon.
Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. I know what you mean, I'm not that far away either (Stanley). I've spent quite a bit of time up there too, even venturing in to some of abandoned lead mines up there as a member of The North Pennines Heritage Trust, which is gone now I think. I did a whole drone series on the abandoned farms and houses up there, there are so many! I'm really pleased enjoy the video.
Born outside moorcock pub 61 in an ambulance .. Brought up here dad and grandad before me born n bred here they were when it was a railway village . Loved fishing as a kid here 60s ..bonny places .great vid thank you
Always great to hear from the people who lived in these places, it really makes it worthwhile creating the videos. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. :)
