- Today we're going to talk about the #1 low cost option to market your lawn care business successfully, and in my opinion, that is with residential flyers! Passing out flyers can be one of the easiest and most effective ways to get the word out about your new business, all while not breaking the bank!
Whether it's your first year in business or you're just marketing a new service, 10 cent flyers can go a long way! This was the exact template (a little cleaned up for 2021 of course) that we used to secure over 20 customers and $18K in business my first season! Mind you, we didn't have a clue what we we're doing back then!
Whether you use our template or you make your own design, a high quality flyer and some good hustle can definitely earn you new customers! You don't have to have fancy postcards or EDDM campaigns to grow, all you need is effort and a design that is eye catching, and you're off to the races!

@@jacobb791 That's awesome man! I have my driving permit so I am able to drive as long as I am with my dad and I will be getting my license in the spring. I currently offer weekly lawn maintenance which includes mowing trimming and blowing. spring and fall cleanups, shrub pruning, and mulch installation.

Thanks Bryan good tips , 7 years ago when I start my own business one of my friend make for me 5000 flyers and I spend a week to putting by the door each house 🏡 very hard week but first year I catch 17 lawns 😀😀I was working Monday to Sunday , 6 am to 8 pm everyday no days off , now after 7 years I cutting 93 lawns my company grow and grow but always workin no party’s for me all my money is in my Equipement and first god this 2021 has to be a really good year 😃

I did flyers 4 years ago. I printed out the whole pack of neon paper and put 50 a day in newspaper boxes, in between storm door and frame, though door handles, or even in some cases under a flower pot or rock. Maybe 1 call per 100 flyers but you have to start somewhere. I still have a couple of those customers.
Have you found better ways since then to advertise? More effective?

Awesome video Brian 👏🏿 it's also good to give free value on social media to get some word of mouth marketing. That's what I started to do to help my clients.
Great video Brian, when I started off I gained through word of mouth! Then a couple years down I started to do flyers and then the people started to call and call so that worked out better! Word of mouth worked but flyers did better!

These are a must have for starting your business. We still use them because we are in an area of a lot of second homes and have no idea when people will see them. We use to spend 400 on door hangers and have most them get ruined before people ever saw them.

Thanks, great tips, currently making flyers. I love that you mentioned that we do not need to spend thousands on post cards or other marketing, just get some high quality flyers and get that phone to ring. Trying the flyers route as other methods are not working too well for me. Wish me luck ❤

I like Facebook because I can target my local areas thru pages and groups that were created. The problem with a flyer is that I have to have a $300 license to pass out flyers for the month or $175 a week in the neighborhood.
Buy busses class stamps and mail them to the homes you know you can pick up. Saves 180.00 bucks

This does work! I use a Segway and can do 100 houses per hour. Riding slow at a walking pace. I've gotten 13 customers from March 2nd to March 11th. Half was from talking to people that were outside of there house in the yard or heading to there cars. The other half was calls. We have ALOT of other Lawn service companies in our area. There is enough work for everyone who once to work. You have to get out and talk to people! Also I caught a sale on Vista print! 5000 door hangers and 500 business cards all for 50% off! total was $170!

In the township that I live in, you have to get a permit to pass out flyers. It's 150$ for the permit. Trust me I know, someone called the Sheriff on me. Just make sure you check with your local authorities before going door to door.

Thanks just opened my LLC. Late to the game but have always wanted to start. Got my scag cheetah and kubota ready to start working. Just need to find customers! Hard while still working a 9 to 5 job though id be happy with 5 to 10 lawns a week starting out

I started my landscaping business with $40 worth of flyers that I had a local company make. I still use that local company to this day.
Brian very interesting about 2 weeks ago I wanted to print some flyers cuz I also do automotive detailing and I went to Staples they wanted to charge me 20 cents per flyer and on top of that I had to do it myself.

I was just putting postcards on flags the other day and I got in trouble with the mailman. He told I had to stop cuz nothing is allowed to be put in or on the box. Your only allowed to put it in the newspaper box but who there’ll has those anymore. It would take forever to walk the suburbs here in PA but it might be the only choice.

I’m 15, I just bought 500 door hangers. I’ve been in 3 subdivisions and am just leaving for another. I have gotten business, but none for mowing. It’s a shame too, I projected 30 accounts this year and so far I lost more than I have gained. That’s business, I can’t complain. It’s on its way
It’s March, have patience. You might be thinking lawn care 24/7, but customers won’t be for another few weeks still 👍

Do you think there's anything wrong with advertising with your neighbors or in your neighborhood? Of course I'd mow my neighbors lawns, but I can't decide if it poor form to bug them about it.
Personally I wouldn't mow my neighbors. Heaven forbid they owe you money, and things just get awkward, and you can't not see them day to day. In your sub, yes. Direct neighbors, nah.

I wouldn't, I would do a flyer on the mailbox.
Why not print flyer at home ??????????????
Because bulk printing is cheaper when someone has a commercial printer. Your desk jet at home isn’t designed to print of 1,000 flyers.

This has never worked for me. I passed thousands of flyers for 3 years and NOTHING! Not even 1 customer😢😢😢

1-2% is very typical..
Check out lawn care millionaire on marketing and flyers, the reason your return is low is most likely because your copy is horrible. Hope this helps.
