  • We’re not perfect. We’ve all messed up. We’ve all made bad choices. In Jonah chapter 3, we see that God is a God of second chances and your past is no problem for his grace, instead, it's a platform for His purpose. __

I like these sermons and appreciate where the key scriptures are written up on the screen from Jonah, but I got lost a bit where it went a bit faster over the scriptures in 1 Cor 12 and John 6 and at did pause and go back. It's really helpful if they too can be placed up there in writing. I like to read context as I was previously involved in a group that really cherry picked and twisted scriptures to fit their purpose. Just having a few more written up would help to see how it ties in with the message.
I agree that God uses us as vessels, and I also think that the King of Nineveh, when he heard the news from Jonah, was also one of those vessels. He took the lead at that point. God could have spoken to him first, but didn't. God must have known what was in Jonah's heart and wanted to show Jonah something about his own attitude at the same time as getting the message to Nineveh.

Can you do a sermon over being steadfast in love, prayer and in Gods Word.
