@buckcash1...he's definitely a little better than Barney, but basically yes. He has a show, songs, friends, etc. like Barney. But he and Mukku also show up on popular shows all over Japan. They are icons here and really who doesn't love a baby dinosaur and baby big foot?!

@Valikiyro A. Because everyone in New England wears shirts that have the name of a different part of New England. B. Because he probably doesn't actually live in Boston, but he's been conditioned to tell international people he lives there because nobody knows where Pawtucket, Rhode Island is.
He's not a caterpillar, he's a baby dinosaur (supposed to be about 5yrs old) and Mukku, his red friend, is a baby yeti/big foot!

Mukku sounds pretty good speaking English. And I remember Gachapin making a song wanting to eat kids called "Tabechauzo".
