When looking at the termination and buy-back provisions in an equity agreement, how does one structure those provisions to protect oneself from termination for cause ? What resources can you provide that can help one figure out if the buy bay provisions are fair, or if they should be increased? What other provisions or clauses are good to have in the agreement, apart from the boiler plate provisions?
Once you start getting into the details of the contract you're going to need legal advice, which I can't give you because I'm not a lawyer. Some good resources can be found on NextView Ventures' blog and AngelList, but you'll definitely want to make sure you work with an experienced attorney. Talk to other entrepreneurs who've been funded in your area to get a recommendation.
