    A fun story involving 2 (sort of) things here! One day at Epcot my family had ate at Akershus for breakfast. After we finished we split up because my mom, sister, aunt, and grandmother wanted to meet characters and get autographs and I had grown to despise autographs. So my dad and I went to go do the China Kim Possible (what is now Agent P) mission as we waited for them. When we met up again they told us of their experience with the Belle they met up with. Belle had recognized them from Akershus and asked where "your other little tea cup" is and honestly to this day I feel touched that Belle remembered me.

    My gem for Epcot: This is something I did with my daughter when she was young, it was the passport. You can purchase a passport in Epcot world showcase and if you visit every pavilion ask where it can be sign, most likely it will be at the kidcot in most cases. They will write a greeting or a message for you. I wanted to make it more special for my daughter that I made sure to take a picture of her with the person that wrote in her passport, then later at home I printed the picture very small and placed it on the spot that the flag would have gone and she loves that passport. One suggestion I would add that I wish I did was write somewhere what the message says because they write it in there language and I don't remember what they wrote unless I have someone translate it for me.

    My boys when little loved the splash areas in Epcot where kids and adults and sometimes goofy in a swimsuit splash in the in-ground fountains. Bring a small towel, change of clothes or swimsuit and pool shoes and let the kids have fun. Little kids find the lights in the sidewalk by the ball fascinating. I love the clocks and pearl necklaces in the Japan store. I am a trumpet player and love the mariachi band in Mexico.

    Agent P's scavenger hunt is awesome! People don't realize how you get to manipulate your surroundings. And it is so cool! I did it for the first time with my sister and niece years ago when it was still Kimpossible themed. We loved it even more they after they updated it to Perry. I make sure to do at least one mission on every disney trip.

    • @AmericanGirlGymnasts

      I agree! I did it back when it was known as Kim Possible’s world mission (and you had to get little paper slips lol) I didn’t have time to do it on my last trip but my mom thought it was really fun how you got to do special stuff with the surroundings (like make a gargoyle appear in China and get a special fortune cookie and make the Beer steins sing in Germany) and I think it’s a fun and unique way to explore the worlds showcase

    You mentioned the Norway bakery but didn't bring up my personal favorite hidden gem about it, or maybe it's no longer on the menu since the renovation. Anyway, they have/had a fairly sizeable Norwegian club sandwich that has stuff like lingonberries, jarlberg cheese, and so on. Now just ordering the sandwich isn't all that amazing, it's good but not Disney price good, instead what you have to do is ask them to toast it. The result is a wonderful sandwich with a great flavor profile brought out by the heat and mixes wonderfully with the lingdonberry spread.
    No one seems to know getting the sandwich toasted is possible but when I tell people about it in line they usually thank me afterwards for revealing a little 'disney secret' to them as one couple worded it.

    My now fiancé and I just went to WDW for the first time (he proposed there!) and I’m actually surprised how many of these we discovered, pretty much all of them. We even found the galleries!
    We started with the tequila bar, and it definitely enhanced ;) our time!
    Everyone was stopping me asking where I got the shaved ice.
    I fell in love with world showcase, and even though it seems we hit even the hidden stuff I left feeling there was so much more to see. We are planning to go back for our honeymoon and I can’t wait!!!

    I remember the first time I came to Epcot and they had the Kim Impossible scavenger hunt, being able to act as if I’m helping the animated Kim was a lot of fun. They added more gags with the addition of Perry the platypus and even though I miss the old adventure it’s still nice that they kept the phones. I just want to say I throughly enjoy enjoy ALL of your posts. I’m also from Dallas. Moved to NYC to work on Broadway. Lived around the world. (Went to Tokyo Disneyland 28 times. I had to entertain American guests.) And I love everything Disney. I bought bootleg copies of movies before they started releasing them, had a map of the 1966 Disneyland (after a vacation) that was on my childhood wall that I would stare at everyday and some of my best memories come from Walt Disney World.
    Your information, delivery and casual sense of humor are so brilliant. I don’t know how you and all of your team eat and do all of these things, but it’s a comfort. These posts are such a comfort and they never disappoint. It’s just the attitude on how they are presented that makes me feel like I have had a small vacation. PLEASE don’t change anything and know you have a huge fan here in NYC.😀
    Sincerely,
    David Storey

My parents made me line up to meet Jasmine and she was super lovely and said 'we must shop at the same marketplace', and I had a bracelet on which she wanted Aladdin to get a version for her. I didn't expect to meet a princess at disney, especially not epcot and that cast member made my day.

    Even if you're not dining at Le Cellier, I would highly recommend walking back there. If you're facing Canada, go far to the right side to another sidewalk that leads to the restaurant. It is also the accessible entrance to O' Canada. There is a very nice garden back there, and if you keep going through the "rocks" you'll find a peaceful waterfall.

    Yeah, they've sold off a lot of the phone booths around the UK, over the past 15-20 years, I think mostly because everyone has mobiles now and because they've never been that nice to use anyway (at least in London they're not particularly sanitary...)
    It's gotten to the extent that the ones that are left tend to just be for touristy photo ops and have queues of people outside of them ^^

    • @hannahc..
      @hannahc.. 5 лет назад

      UK phone booths are owned by BT and there is a legal requirement for phone booths to exist in certain built up areas. Problem is the newer phone booths can have adverts on so BT can make more profit by getting rid of the old red ones and replace them with the newer uglier ones with posters on.

    Fun fact about the train;
    LGB was one of the first large scale "outdoor" sets to be manufactured. LGB is made in Germany 🇩🇪

    Something kind of amusing to do that no one thinks about... If you're a fan of the Penny Dreadful stories like myself, it's interesting to go to London, EPCOT on a rainy/foggy day or night. If it's raining, head to London as soon as the rain clears. There'll be almost no one because most guests leave when it rains, especially at night and you'll get to see a London that really feels chilling, haunting, lonely and cold, just like the Penny Dreadful settings.

    I LOVE the wine walk, we were just two people and we’d been to Epcot plenty of times so this really gave us a new purpose moving around the countries. We spent most of the day on our quest for the next glass. In Germany we even had some cheese and fruit with our last glasses, it just all felt special and neat. ( also the Japanese department store is epic. Just EPIC).

    This is such fantastic information. We went to Epcot recently with our kids and it was the first time I had been in YEARS. Experiencing Epcot as an adult is so different than when you're a kid. I told my husband we needed to come back without the kids to really enjoy it, and we are planning to go in May for our 11th anniversary. I am absolutely writing down all this info and keeping it tucked away for when we go.

    The Kaki Gori is excellent when it’s hot or when you want to get one last dessert despite being stuffed! Don’t be intimidated by the condensed milk! Twin and I adore it.
    Kringla is great if you like dessert but don’t like how sweet/rich France’s are. I recommend going at night and sitting in the little outdoor seating area if you can. Really quiet and adorable!

    So happy to see this video! My husband and I went to WDW for our honeymoon this past June - Epcot was the park that I really did the least amount of research on, so I’m wanting to give it another go when we book our next trip! This has tons of great info, and makes Epcot seem much more “worth it!”

    AJ!! I'd love if you could do a video about planning a Disney trip with kids/individuals who have disabilities! I asked for a trip to Disney World for my college graduation next December and my brother (who will be 20 by then) has autism. My parents have never been to Disney, so they have no idea how anything works, especially the accommodations available and how they work! You're so informative and easy to follow and I feel like a video with all that info would be so helpful for many people out there!! :)

      Devin Dimizio Our son (10) has autism and ADHD so struggles with loud noises and the crowded lines, but enjoys many of the rides. Disney has a fantastic accommodation. We brought his NC headphones and visited Guest Services in the first park on the first day to get a DAS Pass. They added it to his magic band and linked the rest of our group with it. Instead of standing in line, we were able to check in at a ride line (the FP+ entrance) and they gave us a return time to come back. So, if a line was 2 hours (like at Avatar in AK), we could spend that 2 hours seeing other sites and going on shorter ride lines and then come back and spend 10 minutes in the FP+ line. Conditions were, he had to be first to check in and had to go on the ride. We used our FP+ for the rides he didn’t want to go on. Instead of having him melt down 1 hour into a 2 hour line up and not get on any rides, we were able to keep moving, see other stuff, get snacks, and otherwise all enjoy our trip.
