- My baby is starting childcare/day care and I'm soooo nervous about it! I thought it would be good to document my journey with starting Emanuel in childcare - how he went and how we prepared for it. Please give this a thumbs up if you enjoyed watching!

Perfect timing. My 10 month old starts daycare in a couple of weeks.
Thanks so much for sharing! my baby is 4.5 months old and will go at 6 months to daycare and I'm so worried.
seeing how you prepare is really helpful to know what to expect :)
Also I'm from Melbourne and good to see relevant content
Emanuel is a beautiful baby, well done on his first day, he did great
can't believe he's already 10 months old!! he is such a cutie :)
They grow soooo fast!!
Now he has been in care for a while could you please make a video with tips/tricks and things you’ve learnt? :)
Sure, have just filmed and will edit very soon!
How do you pack his solids for the daycare please
They provide food at this centre 🙂
Where did you get the collapsible food containers and ice cube with lid from? Just starting solids with my 5 months old :)
Omg his so cute 😢
aww thank you I think so too! haha
😮 where are your play mats from? Trying to find some!
One is from Babymat and one is from Freddy & co :)
Do you think something like Thermomix would worth the money to make baby food?
I"m not sure! Most likely yes I think?
My 9 month old has now been in kindy for 2.5 months, and I had the exact same concerns! You’ll appreciate the time you have away from bub just being an adult again, even though I still spend a lot of the day thinking of him! As hard as it is, try to let go and go with the flow with his food and sleep. The educators feed my bub more regularly than I do at home, and while he has some poor sleep days, he’s generally okay at night and when he’s back home! I still stick to routine on our off kindy days, and haven’t noticed him rebelling any of his sleeps! Also, be prepared for him to bring home all sorts of viruses - my bub was unfortunately sick with some sort of cold symptom for the first 2 months, and I ended up with 3 different cold viruses during that time. Fortunately, his immunity has built up now and we’re both 100%… you’ve just got to keep fighting through it. Emanuel will thrive at kindy socialising with the other kids and I’m sure he’ll love all the play! They have a strong attachment at this age so there’ll probably be tears when you leave, but trust he’ll have a great time and will probably greet you with the biggest smile at pick up!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! You're so right - Emanuel has been sick on and off (more often than not) ever since he started! I"m hoping the streak of illness will stop soon as I get sick from him every time as well. But other than that he is doing really well at childcare and eating and sleeping well. And childcare days are so peaceful but I'm also constantly checking the app for updates haha
Such appropriate timing - we just had a childcare tour today to start making decisions for when I return to work in either April or June. Love how you go about his feeding too, I'll steal some of those ideas!
oh what a milestone! Hope you've found a great childcare centre you're happy with x
So glad Emanuel had a great orientation and first day at childcare. He’s such a confident little guy, loved seeing him clapping for photos 🥰 I think you’ll find all of the things that you’re worried about will fade over time, my son was a terrible napper and once he fell into the routine they had there he was the best sleeper in the room. He’s now four and such a confident little man who loves the social aspect of it (plus the Mother’s Day / Father’s Day / Christmas art work is always appreciated) xx
I'm sooo grateful as well! Emanuel loves childcare and eats and sleeps well there so I have total peace of mind. The artwork is too cute!
