I always stop listening to any music when I see your notification. I guess you could say your voice is its own kind of music.
I think I get why tsunderes make great characters.
1.They're hilarious and adorable to watch.
2.The harsh, tough and sadistic side they show is all an act to protect their true feelings, which is where they're very vulnerable. Whether it's insecurity, romance, loneliness or whatever. That fear of being hurt is a flaw that they can overcome and be themselves, making for great character development.
3.The relatability to reason 2 above.

I see 2 ways for a sequel that I believe kitsune deserves. Either with no time skip and have it be showing the mc around his new shrine or with a small time skip and have her talk about how the training of him to use magic is going.

I was thinking the story would go in a different direction. When talking about him going home I thought he was going to tell her that his mother died and his father left for and he doesn't really have a home. He came here because he was drawn here, but had thought about praying for a new place to belong to. And then she would show a little sympathy and ask the name of his mother, so that she could perform some kind of ritual to give him peace of mind - and when he gives her the name of his mother, she realizes he's the son of her Goddess. And that's when she suddenly does not want him to leave anymore, because she had always feared something had happened to her Goddess.
