EU works like state entity, witch means is backed by corporate state witch pay a lot of money for certain favorable laws...laws that given rights to everything...With that said, in this type of conflict, witch side do you think will win?! i'm not saying this good...NO...corpo down.
Aye, all the more reason to fight back before the situation becomes so entrenched on the corporations side that it will take 50 years just to have the rights we should be having right now. The EU isn't perfect, I'll be the first to admit it. But if we look at its track history, it hasn't shied from tackling giants like Apple or Amazon for their anti consumer practices. It might not be the hero we want right now, but it's the hero we need. We either give in to apathy and inaction which realistically is the greatest ally to corporations that want to do whatever they want without any consequences or we try. The battle is far from over. It's the same battle we've fought for 40 hours weeks, the same battle we fought for sick leave and over time pay, the same battle we fought for health insurance and medical leave. Right now the same battle spills over to a new ground, the digital rights and consumer protection against corporate greed and malicious practices.

As I see it, it is more like corporate comune implementation to products...in other words - your products it belongs to every one...
Reminds me of a saying for late stage capitalism "Corporations privatize the profits, but socialize the losses".
