स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर गुरुवार शाम अटारी सीमा पर बीटिंग द रिट्रीट सेरेमनी देखने आए लोगों में अलग ही जोश देखने को मिला। रिट्रीट सेरेमनी से पहले सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें पंजाब की संस्कृति और वहां के गीतों पर आधारित कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किए गए। वहीं इस दौरान बीएसएफ जवानों का जोश हाई रहा। हजारों की संख्या में पहुंचे सैलानी हिंदुस्तान जिंदाबाद और भारत माता की जय के नारों से बीएसएफ के जांबाजों का हौसला बढ़ाते दिखे। बीटिंग द रिट्रीट समारोह शुरू होते-होते माहौल देशभक्ति से और भी ओतप्रोत हो गया।
