But after a similar "bee in the helmet" experience and getting pegged in the face from a rock kicked up by a truck a little ways ahead, I now keep the shield at least mostly if not fully closed over 40 mph. 100% true. Plus for a real biker one is never enough, you always think about getting more. And somehow bikers are like bee's, you will always end up with a group of bikers
My BMW GS800 is nicknamed ‘The Lazy German’. Mostly as the throttle is a suggestion, and it doesn’t wanna start when it rains. It runs like crap until it’s ‘awake’... yep.
I also have a shadow 750. I name all my bikes but couldn't find a perfectly fitting name for it. "Ekei" is the placeholder name. Character from a japanese video game, who was a fat bastard. Named it that because it is so slow.
All this is interesting. I've been biking for almost 50 years and mostly by myself . There's all these things that just come naturally and now here's other people (bikers are "people", other humans are drones) doing the same things.
My bike is Valdez, due to constant oil leaks. I don't need to exaggerate because my speedo definitely does that for me. Home mechanicish, although fixing one thing means I usually break something else. Jealous in nice weather. Shield up 100%. I share what I know, and socialize if I get a chance.
Number 3 is exactly me. When I was in college and dirt poor, I brought my car to a mechanic to do the littlest thing. Now that I have a little bit of money I thought I would just continue to pay people to do it when I got a bike. That did NOT happen - totally got sucked into DIY.
While some people appreciate the attention. I would like it if people didn't scream at me to do a wheelie at red lights. I cannot do a wheelie and I can barely hear you over my helmet, plugs and bluetooth speakers.
Had to Finally SUB. My favorite tale that was told to me; A track day guy I knew who had a real nice R6 told me one day, “I just got a new R1, I was just wringing out my R6.” (I was a new road racer at the time) so before I could stop myself, “No you weren’t.” You’d thought I just kicked him in the jimmy! So to save his obviously crushed ego I told him “ I know some guys that CAN wring out a new R6, but you ain’t one of them. But hey, don’t feel pregnant, I ain’t one either.” Saw him at a track day the same month. He dumped both of them within a hour of each other.🤦🏻♂️
I recently bought a Scorpion brand helmet. Average review for safety at the Sharp web site for independent safety tests, but it fits well and the price was good. It has a little lever on the left side to open the visor a small bit for ventilation, and one D ring has a piece of nylon strap hanging so it is easier to undo under your neck.
Maybe the key here is "older 2 stroke".. Had my trusted Aprilia 650 for 4 years and it started up immediately every time even in sub zero. Loved that girl
Riding season? So far, my lowest ride temperature was 35 degrees, here in NC. It's supposed to be 30 when I leave for work in the morning. I've learned how to bundle. "Aren't you cold on that bike?" "Yeah...but I'm on a bike. So it's worth it!"
Face shield rules: get pin lock! Put some treatment on your glasses, otherwise your pin lock is useless (ask me how I know...!), keep it closed or you will kiss a bee or other nasty bugs (again, how do I know?), modular helmets are great imho. Help others. I once plugged a flat tire for a women stuck on the side of the road, she had been there 2 hours I was the first to stop! Carry plugs with you and a basic tools kit, at least on long rides. Zip ties are life savers!
i am newish rider, just ordered my first time pinlock, coz here in australia is never really cold, but this winter (its winter here) i am finishing late late at work and the face shield fogs out 2 out of 3 rides i did last week. so i order a pinlock. what do you mean about "put some treatment on your glasses"?
Agustin Morquecho anti fog treatment on your lenses. Pin lock is nice, but if the glasses fog up, you are no better off. One time I was on the highway, and my glasses were fogging up. I could not stop (too dangerous in the rain and poor visibility) and could not put my glasses in my pockets since I had my rain coat on. So I drove 20 minutes with my glasses in my mouth, to the next exit :)
@@nicflatterie7772 ahhh ok, didnt reallized he was talking about glasses in your face for your eyes, dont know why i thought about a way of calling the visor glass. itys my own fault as english is my second language. plust it was very late when i read it so i was tired and brain not really working. i do not wear glasses of any kind, my helmet have dual visor, and the pinlock is on order, didnt received it yet.
I would stay this stands true if you are currently close to other vehicles. However if a block of traffic is in front of you, I imagine it would be safest to maintain distance until they have spread or stopped. (California here)
The answer is yes. No further videos needed, but of course it would be a welcome topic :) Going a bit faster means you are never stuck in one spot or situation, and you are always looking out for your surroundings rather than just mindlessly following the traffic flow. Anything that helps your awareness is a major improvement in safety, as it makes you look further ahead and assess clear spaces on the road and merging cars etc. If all you do is follow traffic flow, you end up jus sheeping behind the guy in front of you, and you might lose your awareness, and other people might lose their awareness of your existence too. Better to be in and out of people's awareness span quickly. If you stay in one spot for too long, people tend to forget you are even there, and stop paying attention. You only have a short window where people are aware of your presence before you just become a part of the surroundings, so use that window to quickly flow through the traffic instead of staying in place.
I have an r6 and never leave her in a garage, I use her all year round. She is fast, reliable and never sees the inside of a garage as I do any work myself. I even ride her in snow that's where the experia ce comes in. I'm 48 and ridden bikes since I was 16.
Here, even if I WANTED to do stuff by my own to my bike... I'd have to go to the governmental registry department so they can do it for me so they can update my bike's info card so I can ride my bike on public roads without being fined because my bike's specs don't match those written in the info card. Also, annual revision ALSO has to be made at a repair shop (depending on how old the bike is) every 1 year or 3 years. If I don't do the yearly consumable changes (oil, air filter, coolant...) at a repair shop, they won't give me a "serviced" document for either the next year or 3 years, which means they'll take away my bike's ID for being "unsafe" until I service it, so I can't even ride it home, along with a hefty fine. So yeah.

Fifty two years riding and racing and still counting. I agree and regularly do at least those seven trying to encourage new riders and pass on some hard learned lessons. I don't have a lot patience with pretenders of any ilk whether they dressed as racers, outlaws or offroad travelers trying to impress their neighbors or friends. You know the one who ride in full leathers and still corner very slowly, the riders dressed as outlaws who wobble up to the gas pump and the full adventure tourer who never gets past Starbucks. The rider who lives and breathes motorcycles, who wants to be better and invests the time to do so are more my type of riders and get my respect.
No Space Jam but the theme song should be Aquatic Time from Sonic Riders Zero Gravity because it's perfect especially for the riding in the videos and one great thing is that the theme song is kinda Royalty Free, you won't get hit by copyright by that music because the company SEGA or whoever is in charge is chill with it being used.

Betty, Honda Shadow 750 ace deluxe....my girlfriend walked into the garage and caught me caressing the seat....
I also have a shadow 750. I name all my bikes but couldn't find a perfectly fitting name for it. "Ekei" is the placeholder name. Character from a japanese video game, who was a fat bastard. Named it that because it is so slow.
My '99 Shadow 750 ace is named Nebuchadnezzar. Its also been handled thoroughly but we have a loving relationship built on trust.
bro you’re not a uncle you will young forever just dont get yourself self in accident we like you cause you’re alive
My bike is named princess and I tell her she's beautiful all the time, often when I tap her tail as I walk past her in the garage.
...true story
my husky 701LR is called Appa . if you know who Appa is and have seen a 701LR in person you would get it lol. then the 350 excf is the orange gremlin.
I mean my ex was already dropped so another won’t hurt right?
Drop it
This is WAY better than the last one I watched. Good job.
All this is interesting. I've been biking for almost 50 years and mostly by myself . There's all these things that just come naturally and now here's other people (bikers are "people", other humans are drones) doing the same things.
My thoughts exactly. I thought everyone just did these things. I totally agree that "bikers" are people, and the rest are just social zombies.
Your intros are getting better , More mature. Good video/Blog
Named my bike Evangeline. After Evangeline Lilly. Smooth, looks great, tough, and badass.
Good job on resisting the dank nooners. Papa yam don't crack them either.
Had to Finally SUB.
My favorite tale that was told to me;
A track day guy I knew who had a real nice R6 told me one day,
“I just got a new R1, I was just wringing out my R6.”
(I was a new road racer at the time) so before I could stop myself,
“No you weren’t.”
You’d thought I just kicked him in the jimmy! So to save his obviously crushed ego I told him “ I know some guys that CAN wring out a new R6, but you ain’t one of them. But hey, don’t feel pregnant, I ain’t one either.”
Saw him at a track day the same month. He dumped both of them within a hour of each other.🤦🏻♂️
Hahaha "Dude, you sit on a car seat and call it Crystal..." I almost spat coffee all over my phone laughing at that one. Brilliant LMAO 🤣
1) At some point every bike gets called "START you b@st@rd!!!" (especially if it's an older 2 stroke).
2) The older I get the faster I was ;-)
Maybe the key here is "older 2 stroke".. Had my trusted Aprilia 650 for 4 years and it started up immediately every time even in sub zero. Loved that girl
The nickname of my rc390 is autocultivator, in Italian is motozappa, because of the remeniscent sound that she makes
“Jammie jam do your dance it’s the yammmmmmmieee noooobbb alightttttt” *insert* space jam yammie noob remix music for intro! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ha
Riding season? So far, my lowest ride temperature was 35 degrees, here in NC.
It's supposed to be 30 when I leave for work in the morning. I've learned how to bundle.
"Aren't you cold on that bike?"
"Yeah...but I'm on a bike.
Took a Godzilla size dragon fly to the face at 35mph yesterday.. smh then the visor went down haha
I couldn't in good conscience let your smooth transition to pube trimming go unnoticed. Excellent!
Video idea: is it safer to go a bit faster than traffic?
I would stay this stands true if you are currently close to other vehicles. However if a block of traffic is in front of you, I imagine it would be safest to maintain distance until they have spread or stopped. (California here)
I call it “applying positive pressure to traffic”
The answer is yes. No further videos needed, but of course it would be a welcome topic :)
Going a bit faster means you are never stuck in one spot or situation, and you are always looking out for your surroundings rather than just mindlessly following the traffic flow.
His name is Jack. I bought him a few days before Halloween. He's candy burnt orange. He's taken ladies, his wheels are mine.
So yeah.
My bike is “Traveller.”
Named after General Lee’s
Battle Stallion.
Just got done with my first day of motorcycle class. Glad to go back tomorrow
Buy an Arai and you won’t need to raise your face shield ever!
I dont like the design
No thanks... would rather not spend $1000+ on a helmet
I still haven't named my 2018 Bonneville T120. She's got a lot of personality but I haven't found a fitting name yet. She's classy and young, and very exciting.
My first bike was easy, a 2005 R6 in all black with red accents, her name was Roxy, a slutty name. The naming process was easy, she was naughty and took her fairings off on the first date.
Hahahaha ! Genius
3:46 hah, bold of you to assume.
nice one J! my favorite you've done so far. 👍
Me: Why not Space J-
Yam: 0:15
Me: :(
1. My bike's name is Forven Azulina (my daughter named it) (suzuki gixxer 150cc, first bike)
2. I've not been enough in my bike to make stories or dudes to tell them
3. Not under warranty, but I will
4. Weather here is mostly good, but I have cheap tires, so no fast stuff
5. Yup. Mostly fog
6. I'm trying to teach my nieces, my daughter, my compadre and my uncle
7. It's the most social part of me. Kinda sad, but true
Yup; this is one of my school channels, only behind Chicho Lorenzo (Jorge Lorenzo's dad) to learn tecnique
You dudes are great
Wow, did you use some kind of voice-altering software? Sounds really weird.
Rettequetette probably a freelance voice artist he hired
@@DadBodZaddy why would he do that? no one was complaining about his regular voice. Did something happen to Yam?
Rettequetette it's Yams new sidekick. I think he is going to use him for voiceover videos only.
@@DadBodZaddy buncho888 I'm not so sure... I'd swear the intonation, pronunciation etc is Yammie's. It sounds to me like only the pitch has been lowered.
Getting ready for riding. Gonna be great.
Let's not forget the killer butterflies who allegedly act as a kamikazies as find a way inside my barely cracked visor...
Rule number 6 i have seen when i started riding,
I was sat in traffic as i wasnt too sure on filtering when another rider pulled beside me and told me to follow him
What happened to your voice?
Drew Henry it sounds like someone else haha
steroids
I think sounds better more natural
Bugslayer. The name of my 2006 Yamaha V-Star 1100 (the first cruiser you ever drove).
In Minnesota, we don't legally need to wear a helmet. Probably stupid, but I only wear mine on long trips.
lmao my suzuki is called susie and my ex named her XD
I'm dying
Who is this narrator? No homo man but I liked your voice better.
It Jammmmie Jjjeee.
It's Pappa Yams gay twin, Jammie J
Haven't got my ride yet, but here i am absorbing knowledge from the best.
Glad to hear there's another squid in training out there
@@yammienoob y'all are awesome ❤✌👌
Jesus I'm so lucky to see this on my suggestion just three seconds after it was posted, and yes, I'm looking for some attention.
And here it comes. You are welcome.
I like your honesty good sir
Shouldn't you be out riding, not waiting around for RUclips videos? :p
