@@coffeedudeable first off it's a James Cameron film okay so that sink in if you have ever seen any of his films and second no it still doesn't work, the person who made the theory has watched Fight Club too many times, the imaginary thing works in that film because it's cleverly done in a way where you never see both of them interacting with the same person in the same room it's always one or the other, in this theory they are basically saying that every single person on the ship was playing along even to the end when it was sinking, guess her husband slipped that necklace into an imaginary pocket huh and handcuffed an imaginary person, makes sense, after all non existent things and people are tangible after all.
We all know Jack faked his death on the Titanic, swam to shore and years later became Jay Gatsby.

I can personally relate to the titanic theory. I created a boy named Jackson Lynn in my mind to cope with being alone in an abusive household. Jackson always had something posotive to tell me, and I loved and needed him so much, I couldn't let him die in my mind, so I was forced to think positively for him to exist. I also made a character who wasn't afraid of the things i was to help guide me through anxiety attacks. I currently plan to use these characters and tactics to help others. It's a very effective way to cope.

One interesting theory I've heard is that The Deer Hunter is supposedly a prequel to Taxi Driver, and that Michael Vronksy, De Niro's character in Deer Hunter, changes his name to Travis Bickle and moves to New York to cope with what happened to his friends during and after the Vietnam War. More specifically, when Michael's friend Nikanor "Nick" Chevotarevich (played by Christopher Walken), shot and killed himself during an ill-fated game of Russian Roulette in Saigon that Michael tried to save him from. It's further theorized that Nick shooting himself is referenced at the end of Taxi Driver when Michael/Travis pretends to shoot himself in the head when the police arrive after his rampage at the end of the movie, brokenly remembering his close friend.

Sandy is telling a completely different version of how they met and their summer love occured and there are people who really believe exactly that line where Danny is stating she nearly drowned? Come. On. He is showing off in front of his boys. He does that the whole time during the movie. She was not nearly drowning, he just wants to play the hero and the tough guy who got a girl laid. The story was told from rose point of view (many year later as she's in a elderly state). Not saying the theory is accurate. But if rose was imagining Jack as a coping mechanism then it's a chance that her mind and sense of reality was messed up

I always thought the car flying away at the end of Grease was a pretty clear call back to the previous line from the garage shop teacher saying something like "If this car were any slicker it would fly" or whatever, just before the big race. They had obviously had time to repair the car and improved it, and then it flew.

For "The Blair Witch Project", I've heard the theory that both Mike and Josh teamed up to kill Heather and the entirety of the movie was staged by them.
For "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory", I've heard the theory that Willy Wonka has many health code violation fines on him because of how his factory is and is trying to pass those fines onto some poor unsuspecting child, Charlie.

The Blair Witch was fabricated and false. Those kids are alive and Heather was in some other TV work. Back when this was put together the internet didn't have all this quick searches and social media where people couldn't be found easily. The whole missing articles and presumed dead on websites was all made for marketing.
-For Willy Wonka then why would he shrink Mike if that were true? He has less to work with with Mike shrunk.
He's not talking about how people thought the Blair Witch actually happened as a documentary when it first came out, he's talking about the (dumb) fan theory floating around on the internet that Blair Witch is about two guys who team up to kill Heather in the movie, and there was never a witch whole time. It's a stupid theory just like this Blair Witch theory because it completely ignores the scene when they're all inside the tent and they are surrounded by cackling children who started poking and pushing around the tent. So no, neither of them were "in on some plan," or "trying to kill Heather." It was a horror movie about three kids out in the woods being stalked by a witch, end of story,

Seriously though, if they ever do a Saw reboot, they should cast Macauley Culkin as Jigsaw, modulate his voice like they originally did, and keep has casting a complete secret until he's revealed in the movie. I'm sure that would be impossible but it would be a fun surprise and nod to the theory if they could pull it off.

I think what the theory was implying is that EVERYTHING was Rose's fantasy.
In other words she would have went with Cal to dinner,and imagined 'Jack' having a conversation with everyone.
When really Rose was probably just spacing out,while listening to the boring rich people drone on about things that didn't interest her.
I don't say it legit... It's a theory, as good as another one. I have seen worse... Mental disorders due to traumas exist, and this could be a good example for that.
That's not really true though. They set it up that she's reminiscing when they are looking at the wreckage, but how does Rose know about how Jack and that Italian dude even get on the boat in the beginning? Please.

That last one was really dumb, in both the book and the movies, you see all those children at the end. They don't die. Wonka specifically instructs his Oompa Loompa's, to go and save each of the kids. Maybe he was careless in building his systems, but 2 out of 3 were their own fault. Gloop was the only accident, the others were dumb and selfish.

The Wonka theory makes sense except for the fact that at the end of the film when Charlie asks him what's gonna happen to the kids he said they will still be their normal selfish snotty selves but maybe a little wiser. Even the book talks about the kids leaving the factory as well

Maybe what everyone signed before entering the factory was a release form that exempted Wonka from any responsibility from any injuries or deaths but he thought it best to at least try to save them for PR reasons.

Being hoenst, as cool as that would be for McCallister to grow to be Jigsaw. It wouldn't really add up, as in the first few SAW's you can hear that Jigsaw says the reason why he puts them through these tests, is because he nearly died, and saw the beauty in life. Becuase of that, he wants people to see life the way he did, and hence the SAW movies are a thing. Still a cool theory though.
