Matthew youre right. One of the things that finally helped me well, not stop cos i know i never will truly stop but ive had contol of my habit for 13 years now. It was after my best ever win. I was walking on air that day. Better than sex! BUT over the next couple of months i gave it all back. That was when the penny( or the £) really dropped for me of how pointless it all is.
@@davidrogers6682we live in a different age now where the fun has gone 😢 used to be able to go in an arcade with £20 and have a lot of fun but now that goes in a minute and nothing happens! 🫤 and it takes 2 hours on a minimum wage job to earn! All that’s in pubs are random games designed to make as much money as possible off people and encourage people to chase their losses and lose more! And the government doesn’t care because all they care about is the taxes they make 🤦♂️

Thanks for the videos mate 👍 i think the source of gambling addiction is because we live in a system designed to enslave people, one of the ways out of the slavery is to have lots of money, it's being financially free which we dream about, or in other words what we would do with that money, having the option to do what you wish to do with your life.

Hi paul, I've been almost a year gamble free. Best thing I ever did. I had the ultimatum of either losing my girlfriend, kids, and business or stop gambling. I choose wisely and can honestly say it's the best thing I ever did. Don't get me wrong, I miss it every day and still get the urge every time there's a big game on. Don't go back. Keep strong and take every day as it comes 💪🏻
All the best mate. I was a compulsive gambler for years but finally stopped 10 years ago and it's the best thing I ever did. It's going to be hard but the longer you abstain the easier it gets. Good luck.
Some People just have addictive personalities, you can fight it and say you will STOP but the urge will always be there until the Grave, it's all about staying strong. Gambling gives you a FALSE sense of Happiness. If you can find something non self destructive to get addicted to it will help a lot. Good Luck Paul.

Stay away from the bookies. Absolutely the worst in terms of gambling. Scratchcards are still not great but nothing compared to online gambling sites and the bookies.
First, it's not the end, it's a new beginning! Second well done on taking the next step mate. Over the last month I've spent £23 on cards.. I was at one point spending £30 a day. Cards are shit, don't wanna go online, and shops are full of weird ones.. Good luck buddy! I've been here for 12 years and be here for the next!!

My brother had a big gambling problem.. one day he ended up stealing about £5,000 from his work! Totally regretted it..been about 8years since then he’s not been into a bookies.. that’s what it took for him to realise stop..

Scratch cards have never been good, but they've definitely gotten worse over the last five years. The good wins are few and far between. The best you can hope for in the vast majority of cases, even on a £5 ticket, is your money back, and what is the point of playing just to get your stake back? I hope you stick to this, Paul.
