Houston gets a 2026 conditional sixth-round pick in exchange for Akers and a 2026 conditional seventh-round pick. It’s a reunion for Akers and Minnesota, which also traded for him last season.

I think it’s still possible for the Vikings to go get a bigger name at RB. They could just be wanting to see how it goes this week without Jones with the addition of Akers, and if it doesn’t work they might pivot and make a move to get someone like Etienne or Chubb. We do need to improve the O-line though. Hopefully Risner can be the answer

Sam Darnold went up against the #2Defense. You can't say he's nt the same without Jones on one game.
It's a little early to give any weight to #1 this or #2 that....the packers have the #2 rushing offense. Is it amazing? No, it's not. It's ok. The jets are bums. Probably better after today though. Stats can lie. They have a really good running back and a smart qb. They can keep their offense on the field and the defense off the field. Easiest way to NOT give up yards and points is to not be on the field.....

He also was hurt but thought we would resign him
only had 2 RB's really... They needed to do this earlier in the season and just waited until they couldn't cause of the deadline, or they were forced to in some sense from injury. I like this move, because Akers was getting stronger as the touches came until his Achilles blew last season.
Plus, having Akers for the Rams game is a revenge game if Jones isn't playing. Let him eat!!!

Jones will be back against the Rams. I’d like to see him play against the Lions, but this is game 6 in a 17 game season. It’s not worth rushing him back.
