Thank you for those wonderful words brother ❤ I'm just happy that these cards ended up with you 😊 it is sad to hear that this seems a general trend though. But I have a positive view that I'll be back, and others will join back as well :) For now all the best 🫡 I'll try to jump into your streams now and then, but my work is somehow coinciding with those mostly currently 😂
Agreed hertzfall, take care of priorities bro. This community will miss you. I do see the trend and im the last of my buddies that still collects. Some of them actually just gave me their decks recently.
In general it seems yugioh players and collectors are becoming more rare. It’s becoming difficult nowadays to find local tcg shops that even sell yugioh anymore
A bunch of people I know also left the hobby because of Konami's predatory product philosophy. Short prints, clumping, horrible print quality, and etc. Compared to the OCG, the TCG is far more expensive for far less quality. This has been the consensus reason for why people I know quit.
The love for the game comes and goes for various reasons, but the many friendships you've made along the way are incomparable and will have a special place in our hearts!
As a father with a family myself, i can understand. One thing though with fans of the game, players or collectors is that eventually we all come back in one way or another! Best of luck and health to you and your family sir ❤
Jeez... I thought someone died. All my friends are getting married and having kids. They tend to give less of their lives to their hobbies, and more to their family. It happens, ma guy. It sucks, but all we can do is love and support them. It's a good thing as well. They've found something greater and something they love more than hobbies. If you recall, I had to give up collecting for a while, but I came back. The love for collecting never really goes away. Good stuff, ma guy.
My friend I could tell your heart was touched and how you were talking as well. Even though it is sad stay strong my friend. Always believe in the heart of the cards
hey man I understand having a family. When I had my 2 kids I took a break for a while and now I have been back a few months and the cards coming out and being super expensive makes it hard to want to play. I am less a collector and more of a player
that sdk blue eyes and ghost rare stardust dragon from 2008 is 🔥🔥 yugioh is always been about friends and getting together for the game and arts, always sad friends leaving the game and collecting, blessing to you heart 👌👌❤️
It's always bittersweet see a collector like this quitting the hobby because you can feel how much he loved it, but life is life, and you never know what lies ahead. Let's make memories and enjoy our time while being in the hobby tho!
Rip to the collection and welcome to a new home!❤I only have one friend left from high school who collects and I’m pretty sure it’s only because of me 😂shiny cardboard done right
Great collection, its sad, but people come and go, we have to be grateful for the moments/memories we live while collecting or playing the game, thats what matter most.
Thank you! I may have stopped, but I will never stop watching and somehow support you bro! And I am playing the TCG Card Shop Simulator now instead haha
My man you are a family man too. Planning for the good times and bad require a good amount of money. We all stop collecting or doing anything "extra" in the name of family. We all have to grow up for a while. But you can do some nostalgic things from time to time, just don't go overboard. But remember you do get an idiot pass when you have a midlife crisis or have a near death experience. Just make sure you can afford it.
People move away from the hobby all the time (the biggest reasons I see are starting a family and starting a new job that doesn't allow them to travel much). It's bittersweet like you said. I personally stopped playing and collecting yugioh halfway through GX. I came back in 2019 because I really loved Vrains as an anime. The anime is a great way to keep in touch with yugioh and hopefully ignite your passion in the future
As a collector who got back into it after getting into other TCGs, it is sad to see the popularity dying down. I wish they would do like pokemon and make full arts.
Honestly it makes me sad to see someone give up their collection especially when I’m super into the game but it’s nice when you know their collection will go to someone who will appreciate it as much as you did if not more and I constantly pray that something will surge peoples interest in yugioh
Its sad to hear that this is a trend but it is understandable. It's great that you were able to pick up some of these cards and keep the collection alive and the clip you threw in at the end was really sweet. As someone who is just getting into Yu-Gi-Oh recently I hope this trend doesn't continue and people start finding reasons to play/collect again.
Most of all my friends stopped playing Yu-Gi-Oh, which is sad, I recently got my partner to try it out and now I can play Yu-Gi-Oh with someone again, it's really sad on how people are giving up Yu-Gi-Oh 😢
As a casual yugioh collector and player it’s hard to keep going cause it is expensive but mostly life in general is expensive so sometimes you gotta choose literally groceries over your hobby it’s unfortunate 😢

My brother have been selling his collection for similar reasons. Its very sad man
It's sad because ALL of my friends have officially quit. Even the die-hard, hard-core, YCS competitor friend sold out completely to get into OP. Unfortunately, there's no way to reboot this game anymore. It can only continue to be a combo intensive game from here on out. But thanks for the giveaway and good luck to you all!
I've quit before and currently I don't have the time to play. So just collecting rn. There's multiple reasons why we lose interest in things. But all we can do as a yugioh community is spread the love ❤
Bro you made me think bro had died 😅 I’m glad he’s well and good. Hope all is well. Beautiful cards bro. I love this channel I watch your channel probably everyday. Keep it up bro!
This hobby is really costly but shiny cardboard has always had a premium. This is sad and I feel it, but its hard for me to quit so easily though since this community is full of great people ❤ hopefully this wont be an ongoing trend
Ive been noticing how little yugioh products are being sold in target, walmart and especially locals. Its sad but given the current state of the game i understand.
Love To @hertzfall0 And Kevin Hoffer. Don't Be Strangers. Good Luck On Everything You Do And I Hope You Will Come Back To Yu-Gi-Oh In The Future. Those Were Some Awesome Cards!
I'm on the same page.i used to buy out like $170 now I just buy a pack an keep it sealed.just a expensive hobby these days plus I collect horror toys so cards are less important to me.but il always have luv for the cards!!
The competitive scene has gotten a lot tougher, and the pricing is a lot less than most other trading cards plus the collectors are falling out because of all of this reprint after reprint after reprint, the value just ain't there for a collector
I've been in a bad place with Yugioh as well recently.. I need to pay bills and TCGplayer only gives so much.. I wanna sell everything I have but it's a LOT and the prices are all over the place. Idk where to start. I don't want to let go of yugioh but I feel like Konami is letting go of the care they had for players.. I'll dtill probably play digitally on simulators but as of now I'm almost just done being dragged around and having no money only to get slapped at events by cards i still cant afford. The new tins helped a LOT but not enough..
My local card store doesnt even carry yugioh because they "dont know what it is or how to play" I was mind blown Wally world is my only option besides ordering online Also very nice collection!
It sucks to see people leave the game in any form man, be it a collector or a player or both. Yu-gi-oh has gotten expensive lately and I think the economy isn't really allowing a lot of people to experience their hobbies like they would like. Combine that with people moving on in life towards more important things like family and it only makes sense. I dont know when my locals last had a Yugioh event, they dont post much about Yugioh anymore so I think it may be dead, considering that was the closest locals to me that supported the game it makes it hard, however I still can't find recent product on store shelves so clearly someone is buying it.
Unfortunately, I know what its like when people just walk away from collecting and Yugioh in general. It just seems like the game hits a point, especially in the competitive scene where it just isn't enjoyable anymore. Its either too expensive or just not worth the time. Several people who went to my locals just dont go anymore for one reason or another; sucks to see em go but it is what it is at the end of the day
My locals got rid of all the yugioh singles and replaced them with One Piece cards. I was sad and upset about it!! Not just people, but locals are ditching yugioh.
For some reasons, my local just got some new people came to play Yugioh. Some came back to the game and played competitively. Still, I quitted for 7 years now and definitely am not gonna come back to play this game lol.
I have to admit, I've slowed down too nearly to a halt. I like the nostalgic stuff like the 25th anniversary tins and booster boxes, but the modern meta is so far removed from its original, I can't relate. If Yu-Gi-Oh! keeps declining like this, collectors like me will have worthless cardboard and memories of better times. Sadly, my Star Trek collectibles are in the same boat!
I get leaving yugioh as a player because it's getting stupid expensive, but collectors? I dont get it, unless you're broke why would you "leave" , just stop buying new items and enjoy the collection you have, or, if you want new cards, just trade old ones for them
I am kinda considering to stop buying cards. Not yet selling mine. Konami has slaughtered the collector market with all their reprint and celebrating 25th anniversary for 3 years. (Yep next year 25th qcrs are confirmed)
Besides all the reasons listed in these comments everything is being reprinted into oblivion and if continued the old school cards will all be compromised 😢
Man the price of the game feels like it just keeps getting worse over the past year. Its just really sad, in some ways its cheaper but others, its so much worse.
@HeartOfThePack it was ....I think thekidis21, and I even commented on one video saying I can make a really good soul burner deck, and I even told u about the exodia fusion monster 😃
Not really sad when the game is so expensive and convoluted. Every time I go to target, I see stolen yugioh cards but everything else is untouched. Why? Because no one wants to spend $40 and get absolutely nothing either for collection or playing. Look at Magia, who tf would pay $900 one card? You would have to have cards from the 90s for that to count for pokemon or magic
Yu-Gi-Oh isn't fun anymore it's all meta meta meta and not letting your opponents play when we were young you used to be able to play random decks or blue eyes and it was fun environment no it's about pro player
I’m so close my self honestly…so discouraged by konami and everything else going on…rough out here to be a yugioh fan. But always tune in for a Heart Of The Pack Video😅🎴✅💯

That OCG Blue-Eyes is a beauty, i believe that art is from the 1998 Toei movie from the season 0

That trend is kinda bittersweet, but it does come as a part of any hobby in life, where people come and go, but the friendships made last forever.

Many of us just play to spend time with old friends, it's very sad when one of them just quit.

Nice collection. I've noticed in recent years, lots of people not happy with some of the choices Konami has been making with new sets and reprints.
i left yu gi oh nearly 10 years ago but watching your vids got me back into it again
It’s really sad that people give up the game of yugioh. It really touches your heart ❤️.
We'll always be here hertzfall if you ever need us.

dang, it does suck people are leaving but it makes sense, people play and collect for different reasons
I've seen this trend with my local buddies, most aren't playing as much anymore
Sad to hear this. A lot of people in VietNam left Yugioh too :(( It is way too expensive for us.
Great buys from the collection!

It's got two stamps in the bottom right corner, a gold and silver (small square) stamp. All cards only have 1 stamp
