Just bought a 78westy and have some plans to fix a few things (reupholster seats and mattress, install new pop up tent, etc). I am a do it yourselfer too. This video was inspirational. Thanks for taking the time to post this great video and happy trails....

Thanks... Nice video: I'm hoping my 78 Champagne II turns out that good. I'm converting it into a tin top camper, using the Del Mar Retro rear seat conversion for the bed. I need a rear seat with 8 grand kids... lol
I started hoping to spend only 5k, but you know how things work out. If I have this thing taken apart I might as well do this and that.Heated seats, Navigation, pistons jugs, new injectors, stainless exhaust, interior, window and door seals and the list just goes on from there. She is a great little surfing rig though!
Westy Mate : What can l say WOW ! the only Downside is the Teak it is So out dated l think a more bright 2 pack Color would have been much Better ! Great Job But ! :)
My dad used to have one of these back then and I used to be so embarrassed to be in it . Now I realized how cool it was . I miss this bus !

Great bus but I would at least look for some porsche style rims to pull it back into the niche look.
