THANKS! I've loved Fairport since I first heard them in 1971, saw them in a small club in Santa Cruz much later, Richard many times over the years, Swarb a few times. Lucky. Have to cry now.... Cheers!
This and ‘who knows where the time goes’ were so emotive on the night. Everyone hugging and swaying. You felt really part of it. Very sad for it all to end. Wonderful festival.
I can't believe I found this anthem tonight!!~~! And everyone's as fallen-apart as me !! BUT we weren't always Sisters!! we'll meet again Brothers!!! I so love seeing you and singing with you all !!
First Cropredy for me was Tippler's Tales in 1978, and then we thought it was all over at Farewell Farewell in 1979. Who'd have thought it eh? So hot this year, ducking heads under the taps to keep cool. Roll on next August - will it be DJM bashing the skins or someone new? Thanks for the many years on the seat Gerry.
Fairport Convention, and particularly Richard Thompson, Simon, and Dave Swarbrick, and with reference to Now Be Thankful, Meet on the Ledge, Sandy, Richard, and others far and wide, thanks to all for Meeting On the Ledge. i too find myself much more concerned now with the time of life always heading toward winter, as in "Little Wing." And yet we still fly. Now i just play in my kitchen, but that's Okay. I remain, Out on the edge, along with the rest of you. Fairport Convention was an important influence on my decision to reenter music as a Violin Player particularly in "Tyger" and "Old Youth." after being either forced, encouraged, or both to take private lessons, which was okay, maybe...but anyway, i just want to thank all of them.

Splendid. I am 14 again marvelling at the lyrical genius of Richard Thompson

Yep. First time I ever remember Matty giving Lord Donald's wife a swerve though 😄

I used to be there, but now 18k miles away. With you in spirit. :)
Saw them live years ago with Jethro Tull. Love this!
Seen this Saturday finale many times. Each one seems better than the last.

Would have liked to have seen Ian Matthews launch this as per original.
Anybody but Nicol anyway
Drunk old people, I love it! (being a n old drunkard myself)
Who's here because of Greta van Fleet?
4'40"
To think RT was once so stage-shy he had to be pulled to the mic.
So that was a miss this year then. The band taking for granted crowd goodwill.
