Dans mes 3-4 solo préférés de tous les temps, avec Time, Hotel California, Stairway. Beau travail. T'es pas un gratteux de guit, you're a fine, accomplished guitar player, my man. Props. And thanks.
It's a very good news, that you dare to play such a complex solo, like this! Or is it from your summer collection (from the "25",you know 🤗)? Anyway, very nice play, a lot of feelings, nice tempo...etc As always, my friend!! Have a nice evening, and a good weekend!! Greetings from your Hungarian brother!! 🇭🇺🤘👍
Thanks my friend! Yes it was from those "25" and has been recorded in January! lol But I recently recorded another long LZ solo, and I'm also working another long one from them too (but I worked it a bit too much and will probably need a short break very soon)
@@StephLeGratteux Then I thought it well 😉😊LOL! I should bet it on my Step-by-Steph lottery play! 😂 I like the good'ol stuff from the Zeppe very much. They belonged to my fathers trinity (Purple, Heep, Zeppe) + the Cream. (R. I. P. Dad🙏😔, 25 ys ago...) Time flies, brother. Too quickly. But it is okay, we have to enjoy every single day! Take care of yourself, and your family, Steph! 👍👍👍
@@peternemes6770 This is a nice trinity! I don't know Uriah Heep as much as the 2 other ones (of course) but I still know some great songs like July Morning, Lady, In Black or Gipsy. And I hope I'll be able to do some Purple stuff next year, it's been a long time I want to do that (and also maybe some Rainbow). Btw if I had followed the taste of my dad, I would have never played guitar or anything as he likes french stuff like Serge Lama and Charles Aznavour (I bet you know Aznavour as he's known in many countries). Both are good french singers with good songs, but nothing very exciting about guitar there. Anyway, he bought me my first guitar and always supported me (and he will probably watch this video but he doesn't speak english, so he won't read or understand any comment lol)
Yes: I have run across a few comments saying that Jimmy sounds sloppy, and if it is so then I can only strive to be so sloppy, and I would definitely disagree. I think people misinterpret some of his rough, outside of the box innovative licks, which give him,or any guitar player their signature sound and that's what every guitar player wishes to accomplish. It never ceases to amaze me where Jimmy Page pulls out these solos from. My only guess is his influences from all styles of music.
i love that you play the fuck up hesitation at :50- :55. in the original recording that part always sounded like a flub on jimmy's part, but they just said fuck it and left it in. you nail it, and that's awesome to me. you shred this solo dude.
Why would you want to play this song at a slower speed. It’s meant to be a fast paced song.❤Thats what gives it such power and brilliance. It’s the lightning fast speed of the guitar.😊
I saw Zep play this live in 77 as a kid.....best concert ever!
Lucky kid!! :D
One of my favs , too..This is a Gem!
Such a feeling in this solo..and I always loved the drum part!!
Thanks for the great work!
I AGREE!!!!
Thanks! This is probably their most underrated song!
@@StephLeGratteux ..Yes..but one of their bests!!
@@flavy1000 yes, that too!
Superb playing, and I love the 60% speed section and detailed rolling tabs. If only all guitar videos were made this way! Thank you.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked this video format!

@@jDm-cq9ol People said that about him as a live musician. I don't think anyone in their right mind would call this (studio version) sloppy.

Fuck up ? Doesn’t sound like one to me at all
@@jakewaldman6243 in the recording it always sounded like a slight hiccup on jimmy's part. my opinion only. take that as you will.
Totally a bit of a happy accident as bobbross would say
I'm not too sure...but I'm pretty sure that, that it was intentional. Not a flub, and it's more distinct on the original recording it is
What kind of pickups do you have in that Les Paul? Very clear sounding. Thanks.
I have no idea lol, the original pickups (the LP is from 1991 btw)

Does any one know any good amp settings to match the sound.
Can we get some Roy Z solos from Bruce’s solo albums?
I don't know

Feels almost as long as free bird
Am I the only one who finds this solo kinda hard rhytmically? I can nail a lot of considered harder solos but this one still makes me a bit confused

Yes, the phrasing is kinda weird sometimes
