One of the best sleeps I ever had,,,, I was on an extended canoe trip, total length about 4 weeks, 650 kilometers. about a week into it, altitude 2,000 meters, it snowed. I was set up before it started, all required gear was in the tent. Great tent, full 4 season, older tent, light, sturdy, perfect size for me. I turned on a light to read by,, pleasant evening,, light snow falling outside, I drifted off so nicely. In the morning,, quiet, ultra quiet,, warm in the tent, 10C, 12C. Unzipped and out there was fields of pure white, a foot, 30cm of new snow, tent was an igloo. Snow is a great insulator, sound and heat. Zipped it right back up and went back to reading, stayed right there the entire day. Didn't pack up till the second morning. Nice to take a day off.
In this heavy snow, one of the good things you do is to take a dog with you, because one of the good things about a dog is that if a wild animal approaches you, it will sense it within 50 meters and alert you to the danger.
A n insulated coat for your dog would be good. They get cold and wet, too Keeping your dog's kidney area / back warm helps him circulate warm blood. Good video. I enjoyed watching this.
Since my dog is a kangal shepherd dog, it is very resistant to cold weather, no problem up to -40 degrees. Thank you very much, I'm glad you like it :)

Get your heater going or your stove that way you can get warm just try to have yourself a good evening I really don’t know how you do it, but it’s all the issue. You have a lot of patients to do so I can’t stand winter most times I hibernate just like a bear would take care same as with your dog. I noticed the way you were feeding him he was making a mess, he’s loveable

Anatolian Shepherd or Kangal Dog. Could be either though I suspect Anatolian. Turkish livestock guard dogs. Live outside with the herds no matter what the weather to protect from wolves, bears, and other predators. Do you think herdsmen bring along pads to let their sheep sleep on in inclement weather? I don’t think so. Great job, sir!

Why will you not bring a mat for that sweet dog to lay on? He didn't ask to go out into the freezing cold! And just because he's big and has fur doesn't mean that he can just lay on the freezing cold snow floor
Great video, but I have one request: please don’t give the dog hot food. It makes me feel sick when I see it... I’ve seen several cases where a dog developed gastric torsion because the owner gave it hot food.
Try carrying plastic grocery bags with you. Instead if putting dry socks back in wet boots you could put your feet in plastic bags then put on wet boots. . At least your dry sicks want get wet.

Dear Viper, before setting up the tent, you can melt the snow and dry yourself by setting up a large fire in the area where you want to rest.
I couldn't do this because the snow was too deep and it was snowing all the time, maybe I wanted to set up the tent and rest as soon as possible :)

Eu constantemente alimento meu cachorro no vídeo e fora das filmagens. Meu cachorro é um pastor Kangal, então ele não fica com frio :)

Actually it does, because this dog is a shepherd dog that protects the sheep in the mountains at -40 degrees. That's the nature of the animal.

Just a simple waterproof soft groundpad will do !
Because his dog is outdoors dog, if he don’t bring him with him he still lay down in the snow back at home.

That's a great idea. I tried that once and it still gets wet, but it gets very little wet and it takes longer.
